I don’t have the watch, but I work in the biomedical engineering field. There is no way the watch can directly detect sleep apnea from then wrist. What you can sense at the wrist is your pulse oximetry. With the trend of the two values, oxygenation of the blood and the heart rate, it can estimate when and how long you are holding your breath. The right way to monitor your breathing would be to put electrode patches across your chest and a monitor will detect your breathing. The watch is a gimmick and not a true medical device.

Same here... my W7 but my issue is my lack of sleep and my Watch delay sleep by 15 to 30 mins when I am a fast sleeper under 3 mins.
