Keep Your eyes Fixed on Jesus Bobby, Come what may. Trust Him, Whatever Happens. I had Breast Cancer, 2 operations, No Chemo, as I didn't fit the criteria for it. Had 2 rounds of radiotherapy. I got an infection on the 2nd op, but it healed very quickly, Thank The Lord! It delayed my 2nd round, and to get onto a hormonal tablet. That took between 2-3 months. It did cross my mind it could come back, But Left it In The Lord's Mighty Hands, as I did when I was told I had Cancer. During 18 months, I had a heart op, was diagnosed with diabetes, and during the same time period, 2-3 months after, cancer. I had fear for 1 second when told, and the night before my heart op, 1second again, But I Was In The Lord's Hands. Don't Forget That Bobby, He's GOT You. Surrender to Him, any fears or doubt's, Talk to our Loving Father, Rest In Jesus Loving Arms. That's the Only Way that I gave up smoking. I smoked for a few years, even though I had a heart problem, and had the operation. With God Everything Is Possible. God Bless You, Will Pray for You.

My personal problem was expecting everyone to be a good person but it's better to see people for who they are rather than the perception I have of them. The other thing is thinking people too highly of them too quick without giving it time to notice who they really are. The best thing is being patient with anyone and see who they really are before calling them friends.

Amen. Its why I'm always so encouraged by the verse in the Bible where it says that Bad Company corrupts good moral. Even around Christians you have to be careful as I've known people in my life that tried like non-believer to backpedal into the world. Yet, its those little decisions that can change everything.

The sad fact is we could have a friend for years..even decades and not know them for who they really are.And when you find out they aren't your friend,it's usually something we should have seen coming long ago.The same goes with being married..you may think you know them so well,then 10 years into it you finally see that real person.And you have to guard your Heart from such people. I have to say i do love hearing Charles Stanley put it so perfectly.

I understand how that felt dear. Someone without empathy does not care about us. We keep overlooking 'just because' they're a friend, or relative or neighbor, but in fact they exploit our helpful and kind natures, selfishly and only for their own benefits. I had some neighbors & relatives I had helped so much, but in my time of trouble and pain, & after my parents' demise, they were totally and wilfully absent. They were also not only silent when another above 65yrs neighbor couple verbally & emotionally abused me and caused harm to property, they pretended as if nothing was wrong. When this raging & mean toxic elderly neighbor, a rich govt. postman (who had his own home!) fraudulently entered his name into my mother's house-deed documents in the city's records through corrupted officials he had won over, these neighbors didn't even care to ask about what & how it happened. One neighbor woman, ( whose younger sister my parents & I had helped immensely though we didn't even know her, and had stayed at our home for many months when she was in terrible crisis few years back ) whom I tried to tell about this awful act, and told her I would show those fraudulent documents to her, never again cared to inquire or even listen. Her husband suddenly stopped speaking to me and sided with the postman!! (Many good folk cared to learn about this, and stood by me.) Not only that, she regularly met with those very abusers. She tried to appear at my door every year with a church-calender, but I simply had no respect for such a cold and calculating person..and I did not get into any conversation or ever invite her indoors. This was the very woman, (when we were new as neighbors,) when no-one was at her home and a vicious street dog had bitten her she had rushed to my home out of all other neighbors, & I had immediately taken her on my scooter to the hospital and brought her back after the necessary treatment and injections.

when he got to 3:27 , (Prov 16 :28) it is the perfect description of how an outsider destroyed my marriage of 9 years. Then when the dust settled, it was not repairable. I will tell you that forgiving is not always an instant or easy road. Instant forgiveness is usually a lie to yourself in order to be able to cover up the hurt & betrayal done to you.
@Gomlie1970 Жыл бұрын
Commitment is a very powerful word . God didn’t say forgive for no reason the moment you choose something the emotions and actions and thoughts follow your choices. So you have to forgive even when you don’t feel like it . Its the work of the Holy Spirit to heal and make your soul whole again. To restore you. Don’t put it on yourself to rid your emotions and discomfort or discouragement . Leave it to the holy spirit to do the work. That’s his work.

Before watching this extremely timely message, I need to ask for your prayers. I've commented on this specific incident many times, as GOD, in HIS Providence, has continued to show me many things through the utterly heartbreaking loss of this friendship, over 2 years ago. I've been praying, and I'm going to speak with her ,GOD willing, at Church tomorrow. I'm nervous, and worried about breaking down when I speak w her. She hasn't spoken to me this whole time so it will be emotional for me. Even so, I need to be obedient to the WORD where it says if you've offended someone go to them and make it right. I wont willingly disobey GOD'S prompting again, that's what brought me to this situation in the first place. And even though it's my fault (due to backsliding w drugs), I feel betrayed by her. So please, if your so inclined and led my the Holy Spirit, please pray with me for courage that I speak honestly with all the Grace that GOD will grant me, to be wise with my words, and for humility to listen to her more than I speak, and to accept accountability for my choosing drugs over her and our friendship (I didn't realize at the time thats what I did, I was in the addiction cycle and I couldn't stop) but sadly thats what I did, nonetheless. Thank you, and may you all have a blessed and beautiful day in the LORD! 🙏✝️🤙

This was a good message, and really timely. I think after listening to this, I could really use some prayer. Something that hit me that kept crossing my mind is this idea that we all have friends, but to the standard we hold them is another thing. A lot of my friendships don't seem reciprocal, or for others, its a friendship when its convenient for certain people, so I've placed boundaries. At the same time, I'm trying to be a better friend to people, but a lot of friendships can be draining, and it feeling like you're doing all the giving. I know that this is confirmation that the Lord needs me to really sit down in God's word, and really evaluate my friendships and allow him to reveal these answers to me. Furthermore, friendships just seem to get more complicated and challenging as they get older. But thanks be to God for allowing me to enter a season where I'll be praying and fasting and really getting into spending time with God to seek clarity in the area of friendships. They're really hard to navigate, and the internet has made how we define friendships so flawed and skewed. This sermon is what I needed to hear.

Forgiveness doesn't mean you have to be their friend. You can forgive and move on or love from a distance/boundaries. My ex hubby equated forgiveness with me taking him back...I forgave and filed for divorce because infidelity in marriage is one of my non negotiable standards and I didn't have peace anymore. I can't be with someone I don't trust.

Remember, in Matthew 18:22, Jesus told Peter to forgive others 70×7 times. Now Even if you tried to count all 490 times you forgave... It wouldn't work. You would get distracted by life or something else 😅. And God knows this (He knows everything). So He really means that He wants us to forgive all the time. So you should definitely forgive your friend and act like it never even happened 😀 😀. Have a blessed day!
@abeekuworldchanger380 Жыл бұрын
Forgiveness doesn't mean being their friend. We can love other people, but because of their actions, they've been denied access to more intimate parts of our lives. I've been there, but ultimately, take that up with God and see what he's revealing. One of the ways in those moments is that when I didn't have a peace about the friendship, then it was necessary to enforce boundaries. Sometimes, hanging onto certain friendships can burden us more than they bless us. Read that again because when I started to release people from my life, I could walk more into the destiny God has for my life. The Bible says to love your enemies. We should pray for them too. We never know with life. I've had people who walked out of my life try to come back, and in all those moments, give it to God. Some of them were allowed back in, others were denied access, but the ones that God said to allow them back now have boundaries. Praying that you get the comfort in your friendships that you need.

Praying for you dude. Friendships are tough. I too have seen and have experienced people walk out of my life. Something my pastor said that gave me freedom and joy in this area is to just keep smiling and move on. Its so hard when those people you invest days/months/years into decide to walk out of your life, but I like to remind myself that more often than not, rejection is protection. The Lord told me that there were certain people that had to walk out of my life who were holding me back, could lead me down a wrong path, or just weren't good overall. Praying for you that you also get some great Godly friendships in your life that can/will pour life into you and that will stick close to you like a brother.

I talk to the other's, IF I call them. I take care of my mom 86, I really can't do much. But, it's nice to have someone to talk to. Am happy in my own company, though Love being with people. I have a True Friend, a Dear Christian Friend, Who Is a Huge Blessing. Due to my health, I can't get out every day. I made a Friend the other day, I Believe that it was Providence, was meant to meet Her. When you're the only one in the friendship who's constantly reaching out and the other person doesn't reciprocate and when they do respond, the dialogue feels forced. That's what I'm dealing with and my gut feeling is telling me to take the hint because the friendship is finished. Angry? Confused? Saddened? Yes. Even if my family and friends abandon me, it is my hope that Jesus will never leave me nor will He ever forsake me! I just wanted to add that after being snubbed without explanation, I've purposed in my heart that me and my ex-friend never met, i.e., I will block my ex-friend permanently from my memory.

I agree. That is how I see it too. Saved or loss, its life, and the Bible says let us not remember the former things. Its so helpful to get to that place in your walk with God when you can be free from those things.

I have been betrayed and burnt by people who I really thought were my trusting friends .. me always giving until I could give no more - my box became empty - all they did was take .. I am so leery of trying to make any friends anymore .. I just go about my business and just hide ..just don’t want to get close to anyone anymore ..

I've been there. But I promise you, there are good people out there. It can be hard though. I find I'm still healing in that area. I'm at a very loving Church, but I've been burnt by a lot of past ones. Especially one I went to where friendships didn't prosper, and I felt used for my gifts rather than feeling valued. We don't need a lot of friends, nor do we have to get close to a lot of people. We can trust God for the people he sends into our lives. And maybe this is a season you may be in the wilderness to keep seeking God and ask him for true relationships to form.

I really like Dr Stanley and his advice. For years I have listened to him...however in this message I have to disagree that apologizing when you did nothing wrong to save a friendship is such wrong advice. Toxic and arrogant people never apologize and do much harm and if you apologize to them according to Dr. Stanley's advice you will be setting yourself up for abuse.

Yes you are right 👍 The only thing you could do then to be helpful is to try to share Jesus with them 😀

When someone show u who they are believe that. A lot of people Dont ask God, properly vet a person Be4 getting involved with them. To many people go to job to make friends ur coworkers are not ur friends. I will say u can have friends on the job u got do it the right way. I have few formers coworkers we are in good relationship. Everyone not going to have our best interest. Some people change will u do better in one area or more.

Sorry Dr. Stanley but very time I apologized to someone when I knew it was the other persons fault the other person did it again and again. It always gave them the green light to keep on doing it, and believing that its alright to do it!

Wow great statement @An L. This happens to me with my sister to this day. What I started doing is telling my sister about her fault and that she keeps doing it. I do this so maybe she will stop. I dunno who you're talking to (a friend, family, stranger, etc) but another thing you could do... The best thing.... Is to talk to God about it. Whenever you have time ask God to change this person in Jesus name and it will be done! Prayers for you my friend and have a blessed day (night) 🙏 Hope this helps ☺️

What about being the only godly one, and the other person is a manipulator? Should we do all we can to save a relationship that's bad for us?
@benten52182 жыл бұрын
You know what that's a good question. On my opinion you should try to keep at least a close bond so you can share the gospel with them. But other than that... yea... You should not keep that "bad" relationship if there's no purpose. It could harm you and they could try to get you away from Christ. Hopefully hear my answer will help. But if not Prayers for you 🤠

Great question. I think it comes down to prayer first, then peace. By that, what I'm referring to is if there is any peace in the friendship. Sometimes, as much as we want to save a friendship, we're almost better letting it go to keep growing. Some pastors and even the life of Jesus in sermons I've watched say that faith will cost us something. Friendships is one of them. Even with many Christians unfortunately.

I'm praying for you I hope that you didn't get lung cancer from smoking 😂 I know some people get lung cancer that don't smoke that's why I say that. God says be not deceived God is Not mocked whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap. But some people reap stuff that they did not sow I'm glad you are a Christian because the rapture will be soon and then you'll get a glorified❤❤❤❤ fear not

Hi I came here in search for others looking for deeper answers from God and His word, who would like to attend a bible study. Everything is scripture based- meanings of parables, Jesus' life, how the entire bible connects and so much more. Please message me know if you're interested in joining via zoom. 😊

Pray To The Lord, to Have Love and Forgiveness towards your Fellowman, and Towards those that hurt You. Pray For The Healing of All past hurts/abuse.
Chris, Praying is always an alternative. Because you can talk to God anytime and anywhere. Pray about this and talk this over with God so He'll help you overcome!!!!!!!!
