something about 90s hip hop hits different from the fashion, the environment, the way the beats and vocals were mixed, the era itself. i wish rappers today, recorded music videos like this, used the same cameras, and had this rugged aggressive flow and style, it look scary asf compared to today. I know we still have some old school style rappers but its not like the 90s rappers like the new rappers ive seen have good songs, but the videos just look like trap style videos with the fashion, but something about 90s rappers they always had this vibe where it looked like they killed people and they looked like people you didnt wanna fuck with lol and the environment looked alot scarier. its hard to explain....

I love most genres of music but nothing compares and nothing ever will compare to the emotions and energy that 90s hiphop exhibits!! The feeling i get when i listen to a masterfully curated hiphop song (like this badboy) from the 90s is like no other. The rhythm and energy is second to none, even if the rhymes werent intellectual they had character and just make you feel like bobbin ya head or breakin some shit
song still holds up today. i grew up in this era and these guys had the biggest rap group next to the wu and stetsasonic.
