I hope mine is like this too. All my dash lights flicker on than radio turn off and the car stalls when im at a stop(happened only once… so far) I don’t want to get a new ALT if I dont need it

Dude if your cars already shut off on you while driving (at a stop or in motion) and you're lights are flickering while cars on I hate to tell you but you need a new one. He was having the same issue I was having with mine where it wasn't holding a charge anymore and needed to be jumped nearly everytime to start it but the voltage and amps were where they needed to be once he messed around with a few things.

@@tonyg-2jz82 I think the car fixed its self lol. But that only happened when I turned the volume up to high. Ig it just drained the battery 🤷♀️ . Pretty soon planning to turbo the IS maybe I’ll get an upgraded ALT 🤔

Love your channel!! You've definitely given me the confidence to change a few things I was unsure of especially when it comes to soldering. Gonna be doing the 250 steering wheel swap soon so ill be using your video as a guide. As for wheels...TE 37 for the IS300 for sure !! I absolutely love that set of wheels. I have the gunmetal L-tuned wheels which is made by Rays which look good but VOLK TE's look sooo good on 1st gen IS

a lot of wire connector close to the manifold are extremly brittle like oxygen sensor, i had one wire got toasted inside the plug and took me days to figure out until i gently pulled one of wires off the plug, and i thought the problem was my oxygen sensor. End up fixed the wire with a new insert. All these 2JZ will have wire issue around the exhaust area. Air resonator bottom may crack near the exhaust.

IDK. I’m busy AF these days with work and family. There is an LKQ in Orlando that has a few IS’ I’ve seen. Don’t know when I can hit that up though. Maybe on one of my work trips I’ll have some free time to explore.

What was the part number for the plastic cap ?
@TunerwithKids Жыл бұрын
Check description box. I used the Toyota one I showed but it didn’t fit well. I ended up getting a Supra/2JZ version and it fit better. It was like $13.

@@TunerwithKidsI’m not seeing this other Supra/2JZ cap number in the description.

Does this part number fit? "2100506"
@TunerwithKids2 жыл бұрын
Denso 210-0506 is the stock 2JZ alternator so its bolt on.
@bagthoughts2 жыл бұрын
@@TunerwithKids do you recommend it? I tested my alternator and I need to get a new one. I am in between getting a stock one or a better one
@TunerwithKids2 жыл бұрын
That Denso is the OEM one. Stick with it, should last another 200k miles.
