Got to love cheap easy fixes! Might be worth putting some Loctite on those bolts? Back 12 yrs ago I had some nuts on my downpipe that I ended up putting red Loctite on cause those things were constantly falling out. Super annoying. Hopefully you don’t run into that issue anymore, but at least you’ll know what the cause is if you hear it again. Keep at it!

Yeah I thought about that but didn’t have any red loctite on hand but going to have to get back under there anyway for something else so we’ll add that to the list.

While yes, the header could be a culprit, that sound is easily recognizable for me. On my 2019 WRX, I noticed the same sound, only on cold start ups. It could very well also be timing chain slap. If the sound is still there even after tightening the header, I would call it as timing chain slap. Timing chain slap is common on the FA20 especially with all the mods. Also, did you use a torque wrench?

Swear this how my car sound except start up sound perfectly fine once I’m cruising get up to 2500 hear rattle sound knocking sound 😭😭😭 other than sound car drives perfectly normal

@@MoJoNinjaGarage I check the header bolts didn’t try tightening them just visually check didn’t seem loose so starting to lean towards rod knock mostly with feedback knock showing than going to 0

@waldobena3982 check every bolt on the exhaust could be a leak. Where do you think you hear the rattling sound? Front, middle, or back? Could also be some heat shield that’s loose.

@@waldobena3982 may be a good idea to check to see if something is loose or vibrating back there. Heck man inspect everything under the car if you can and catch a problem before it turns into something bigger.
