I have watched so many videos in the past few days on magic loop it's unreal. I have dyslexia and don't have any 3d vision so you can imagine my spacial awareness and conception is all out of sorts. They way you explain everything in such details and slowly (with out being patronising) is brilliant. Everything has just sort of clicked and I get it!! I GET IT!!!!!!! Thank you so much, I'm now so excited to knit my first socks. ❤️🧡❤️

This video is a godsend. Thank you! Did magic loop for the first time last night and shocked at the disaster I created. All the tutorials make it look so easy but don’t talk troubleshooting. I tried again today with your advice and it works now : )

This video is outstanding! I've been successfully using Magic Loop for a couple of years, but I struggle to complete my first 3 or 4 rounds done without getting confused. I can't tell you how many times I've had to go back to the cast-on because I've gotten lost in those early rounds. You have hit every one of my problems and how to avoid them!!! Thank you so much!

This has to be, handsdown the best explanation for magic loop on the internet! For me it's not enough for people to tell me not to do something (don't put the yarn in the front), I need to know why (because it creates a yarnover). When it's explained to me, I know what I did wrong when I have mistakes.

Me, too, Jennifer! I don't remember things nearly as well if I don't understand the WHY of something. (And I'm as bad as a 2 year old asking "Why?" about everything!) So glad to know this helped you!

Your advice to watch a few videos till one clicks is excellent. I was confuse by every ones explanations, top needle. back needle, etc. Finally i watched a video with one sentence that cleared up all the confusion. Your trouble-shooting is just icing on the knitting cake for me. Thank you.

Wow! This helped. I just tried Magic Loop to reduce a baby hat and ended up with two open spaces. I think I had the working yarn in the wrong place and made a line of yarn overs. You are the ONLY one who helped with this. My spatials were all off. Starting again. THANK YOU!

you probably stopped looking at comments on this video 3 years ago but, just in case, I want to say that you just gave me the courage to try Magic Loop again. I'm not fond of the fussiness of DPNs but I have ADD, which comes with major spatial issuses. I tried Magic Loop, but the other videos all overwhelmed me with all the rapid-fire flipping and needle-pulling, and I couldn't figure out how to get the yarn to come from the back of the needle. I'm going to start a new project today and try ML instead of DPN! Thank you! Also... telling us not to turn our stitches into hoochie mama pants is the absolute best description I have ever heard in a knitting video!!

Now that you've processed this info, you'll simply be able to pick it up in a flash! Now go make something wonderful!

@@sheepishlysharing That was the plan for the afternoon... unfortunately that space you said not to panic about got bigger and and bigger every round until at 5 rounds I had laddering an inch wide from top to bottom.LOL! So I pulled it all out and started over on DPNs. BUT -- for the first time I understand the process of setting it up and what direction to turn. And i just messed up the stitch count on the DPNS, so I'm frogging it again anyhow. Not my day for knitting, I guess,

This video is a lifesaver! I started knitting as a way to deal with COVID quarantine, so i've been doing a lot of DIY learning and YT troubleshooting. I thought i had mastered knitting basics until i decided to try magic loop and could not figure out why i kept having additional stitches on each round. i was about ready to give up, but after watching this video a couple of times, i finally understand why! thank you so much for taking the additional time to explain everything so clearly!

*ATTENTION* It is mandatory to watch this video before tackling the magic loop (named this as you need to be a wizard to understand whats going on) I had to start over so many times. My head just wasn't understanding the concept, especially at the first few rows of ribbing. I put the needles down searched through KZbin and found this wee gem - picked back up my needles and I'm now half way through a pretty decent beanie hat. I have only just started knitting since COVID lockdown started, thought I should try my hand at learning something whilst being stuck indoors. Now I'm an addict. This video has helped my new knitting habit immensely. Thank you!!!

Seeing your video has been such a huge relief. I'm blown away to watch a video where the person so exactly describes the way I'd look at something like that, the problems I'd have with it and shows amazingly clearly how to avoid the problems and what makes the problem occur. Showing the working yarn position on different needles, the question about the space between the stitches where you previously had been ripping out are all exactly the type of instruction that makes me give a huge sigh of relief. Finally!! Thank you so much :)
