*These floats do what they say they do **enjoyable.fishing** recommend they come on and off easily and can be adjusted in seconds to adjust to the depth of the water you are fishing in. Used these with trout magnet lures and did really well with them in the stream!*

I think the most significant advice you gave was in the final moments of the video- “Just go out there and have fun”. Priceless advice. I’m 60 years old and fondly remember my dad teaching me to trout fish. He was always the one who caught the most, because he had patience, and knew how to enjoy the art. He is long gone now yet I still consider those moments vital and most of all, fun. To this day I enjoy time on that mountain stream he shared with me long ago, and have had the privilege of teaching my son and grandson what he taught me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion for the sport. Families are often not as functional now days as they were 50 years ago, but teaching someone to fish IMO is perhaps as important as it ever was. Thank you sir!

This is a great to-the-point guide. Though I prefer to stay away from treble hooks because I find them hard to unhook and unnecessarily harmful to the catch (especially when they're too small). I always switch out the trebles to singles on my Panther Martins and Blue Fox Vibrax spinners.

Well done video. I avoid soft plastics entirely, preferring worms, crickets, minnows, or kitchen baits (dinner leftovers, corn, bacon, etc) on hooks & bobbers instead. Also frequently use very small (1~2") in-line spinners, spoons, or crankbaits. Of course, that size small is important. Large lures/hooks will not easily catch trout and similar.

@jedisentinel14995 жыл бұрын
Still fishing in my local lake. Trout are 20-30' down. Bottom of lake 45-50' I use a bottom rig most of the time to catch with 18-24" leader. Powerbait or worm and a scented marshmallow. No hits, zero, nada. Bait's only floating 2' off the bottom. Trout can't look down ? What's a good technique while anchored to get the bait to that depth where the fish are? Worm on a hook let it fall to the bottom and reel up to that depth? So frustrating... Hundreds of fish not seeing or not interested. Please help!

I gave him the trout because my momma said I couldn’t take it home 😒😆cool dude

Well a big part of fishing is not catching anything because thats how u learn. My first 2 years of salmon/steelhead fishing were just casting my line out and catching 0 fish. But on my 3rd year I had a lot of experience from watching others that I was able to use techniques I picked up and landed a nice 27" steelhead.

Use a pickerel rig and real worms split the worm in half so you got two half’s for each hook go to the pharmacy ask for a needle with syringe and then fill the end of worm with a bit of air so they float you’ll catch tons of trout :)

lol its 2021 and people still think swivels and for spinner line twists the blade spins freely ona piece of metal the whole bait doesnt spin... its like a fan snap swivel just makes it easy to swap lures and make carolina rigs or other stuff

@trolologuy025 жыл бұрын
Joshua Rin well if the trout in an area are biting well on powerbait, it’s good to be able to set the bait at the right depth. If they’re hanging out at 2 feet in 10 feet water, it’s way easier to use a bobber rather than a bottom rig with an 8 foot leader.

I'd caution using the gulp eggs had way to many batches either not float or be so brittle that 1 fish and the eggs done.. The power eggs are a significantly better overall product.. Just half oz weight and a 3-6 ft leader with a no 6 egg hook then 2 power eggs.. don't forget the scent
