TROUT FISHING 101 - How to EASILY catch speckled trout

Today I want to share some of things I've learned about finding and catching keeper Speckled Trout (Spotted Trout). This is not a comprehensive video, but it contains enough information to immediately start catching bigger trout and more consistently. I hope you enjoy the video!

Very informative my friend, I've caught a fair number of trout these last few trips and they're a blast, I could catch them all day. Just wanted to pass along that I went in and purchased my first fishing kayak which had a lot to do with your videos. Found a used Bigwater 132 that I will hopefully be taking out this week as the last of my safety equipment just came in the mail. God bless!

good tips here i learned most from salt strong long ago.. i love the FG knot now that luke showed a fast reliable way to tie it so in saying that if my line breaks i'll just retie leader with FG rather than use a uni knot. ---uni has a tendency to catch the rod tip eye and i can tie the FG as fast or faster. ----i love cut pin fish bait but lately have been learning artificial. now i know why i've had very little luck with any over 3". ---next fall i'll try the larger size. trout is my love and PB is 29.5 inch.. i've had a few i feel sure were over that 30 inch i want so bad but excitement when i saw for sure what it was cost me. i only keep within the 15-19 and few of them. the bigger they are the more eggs they lay and more i can catch in an area.--fish rules is a must due to different rules in different areas and i seldom catch reds but a friend wanted to try some so i caught one for him. good thing i checked fish rules because it is now only one per boat not per person so if he would have caught one and kept it we would have been in trouble and i don't like some of the rules but i will live within them.--thanks again for these tips as you are right on as to where and how to catch them.

I’m very frugal so I went with a Hummingbird Helix 7, but the Helix 5 or the Lowrance Hook series is a good choice as well. It is very easy to install, I did it myself here kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3bUdGqijMSpsKM
