Wow y'all :-) :-) :-) :-) Oh my! This is so wonderful and beautiful! For starters it looks like a small trout river with the fast water flowing over those logs and stumps in that log jam. Wow I see so many things that I really love. I love how the start of the water looks like an upwelling spring from under a log jam. I love how the falls are hidden. Using a core of firewood as a privacy wall for the hot spring area and how the water trickles over the log edge. The big boulders used as stepping stones to cross. The swings!!!!!!! Swinging over the water!!!!! Omg! What childhood dreams are made of. Hey I am a country girl thru and thru. I grew up finding the creek and bluehole swimming places that you had to sneak thru an old farmers field to get to. Using rope swings to jump off cliffs into water. I am not a city girl and never got pleasure from a swimming pool. My swimsuit consisted of cut off jeans with a swim top and a t-shirt. That is the true southern swim attire. This water feature would be the happy place in my backyard. Dan and all who brought his vision to life You made a natural looking masterpiece. Love it! It is so me! Lol....this is just awesome! God bless y'all

While there have been some amazing designs from all the teams, this is the one I would WANT. It's not looking to showcase technical ability or extreme water creations... its delivering an environment. The integrated design works together versus looking like a showcase for individual components. It's literally like a living photograph. One of Mark's passing comments is dead on and what brought me to Aquascape: everyone wants waterfront property but its either not available or ridiculously priced. Dan and Mark are a dream team....

Easily one of my favourites, this would be a beautiful space to relax in at the end of the day. Give me some gently moving water, rocks and plenty of plants any day over the man-made kitsch of coloured lights, plastic urns and flaming water.

Most people can’t afford something with ALL the bells and whistles but God it’s a masterpiece when you can! Love it and can’t wait to see the next to come. I’m bringing my fly pole, guys! It looks like the streams I have fished for decades here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The question is which river system are we at? The Yakima? The Skookumchuck? The Wynoochee? The Hoh? Maybe the Stilliguamish? It really doesn’t matter- any day fishing is a day worth living. Great job again, Aquascape Pros!

Holy moly!!!!! 🤯😳 I think I have a new favorite! What I love most about this one is that it looks sooooooo real!!! It really looks like a stream in the mountains, and I love the touch of the couple ricks of firewood makes it really feel like home and that ur living in the woods!!!! Great job Mark the Pond Guy and Dan, u guys absolutely killed it on this one!!!! And like I said, I can honestly say this is my favorite one so far!!!! I mean heck all the little touches weren’t forgot about, especially with the landscaping. I do landscaping for a living and I learned a ton more of what I could possibly do to a yard, and how u guys made this look soooooooo real was because of the landscaping and where the evergreens were placed and also the logs to make it look like they had washed down stream and everything else!!! FANTASTIC JOB!!!!! Number 1 so far in my eyes!!!!

So beautiful, next level here in getting the natural look. Being able to place those logs so they look like they have been their a while is definitely pure talent. Inspires me to try and use bigger logs for sure.
@johnhurley55643 жыл бұрын
How long would logs last in that environment do you think? Are there structural integrity issues as they rot?
@blackhoofone3 жыл бұрын
@@johnhurley5564 I would imagine the structural integrity would happen. To me if you want that look you will be maintaining it also when logs need replacing. But if you get the right wood it could last many years especially in a northern climate. In the south with higher water temperatures i would think rot happens more quickly which has prevented me for incorporating it.
@johnhurley55643 жыл бұрын
@@blackhoofone Thank you for the insightful reply. I live in the PNW and I love the appearance, but wonder if a cast "log" would be a better fit (like a giant version of what you find in a gas fireplace), but you may be right that the decomposition would be slow enough to not really be a great concern.

This really turned out breath taking!!! So funny not so funny story, we bought a house in Olympia Washington. Anyway had this idea as well and broke ground the day we got the keys lol. Finished project was 25x15x4 foot pond with two large streams ending with water falls. Very excited and proud to have completed me and my boys went off to pick up our Rainbow trout from local nursery. All was amazing, big beautiful trout and our very own fishing hole in the back of our subdivision home. Me and the boys had a blast fishing even tho they learned not to bite the bait after three catches ( who said fish are stupid). So here is the not so funny part for what ever reason the fish either became uncomfortable because water temps or were drivin by natural instincts to go up the streams and jump the water falls :(. I suppose I could have done some more research to avoid this tragedy but lessons were definitely learned. The pond and streams were home to koi and gold fish from then on. Now that we have moved to Texas and gotten another home we are ready to break ground once again on our biggest water feature yet!. Love watching your channel along with the professor, atlantis and so many more. You must be so proud of what you and your team have created!. I love that you love your job!!!!!!!!!! I have several friends that have property on Little Chico Creek, and can fish right off their back decks! 3 are right off skyway to Paradise, (town burnt down in Camp Fire ) but their homes were spared. The other 2 have property that borders same creek and the Sacramento river.. so you have a choice to fish.
