@@hephzibahb.7370 you will never look at your Sundays the same way again 😊 (mainly Sundays the videos come out) literally makes my day when I get a notification to say a new video has dropped. When you mentioned how much you love the simple things in life, it brought a smile to my face. I feel the same way, anything from a cup of coffee with fragrant cinnamon in the morning, watching the kiddos run around each corner of the house, filling the rooms with laughter, the sound of a pot of soup boiling from whatever ingredients I could find, smelling the warmth of an oven paired with nearly baked cookies. I could go on and on.. I've been forced to learn to live with nothing a handful of times before, throughout my childhood and into my young adulthood. At times I lived with so little that hope for my own life nearly felt lost. But I was paid in full for my patience and am so grateful to be in my little home, with my little family. The Universe seems to set us up with necessary hardship to be able to fully appreciate what we've got. If I hadn't been dealt such a heavy hand in life, I'd never be able to look around my home and appreciate running water, warmth, sentimental belongings, plants, and so on, as much as I do. Among hundreds if not thousands of lessons I've learned, it's that you must always adapt, overcome and persevere. Opening yourself up to receive the things you deserve in life is absolutely essential. I'm really happy for you guys. Always rootin for ya from the Cape 🤍

Every time I watch your videos I think about how much you remind me of my Dad. He also loved the simple things in life like caring for our house and old machines, family, music, being outside, pets, even little chores like laundry (although he hated cooking ha). He was a photographer too and loved to document our lives on video. He never got to fulfill his dream of moving to a cabin in the woods but I know he would've loved an A frame with a wood stove just like yours. He passed away the day after I turned 17 and now I'm in my 30's and not having him around is still a huge hole in my life. But when I watch your videos I feel like I have a little piece of him here with me. It's one of my favourite parts of each week. Thank you for creating the way you do.

I live in the west, an unwilling ex-pat from RI. I recently got a letter in the mail from my home insurance provider asking me if I ever entertain guests at home or if I allow or encourage people to visit as justification for increasing my home insurance premiums. Unannounced visitors are totally not a thing here. When you casually mentioned the joy of friends visiting serendipitously, almost as common place, a core value I had forgotten, your visuals and thoughts brought back a flood of memories and longing for what I miss about what is right and just of New England.

Beautiful video, The view at @6: 27 with the pines and orange trees would make a great print. Seeing the Hornet Nest brought back what my Dad always said, " If Hornets build their nest to the ground it would be an easy winter snow wise. But if they build it way up in a tree look out , the snow would be deep. And he was usually right.

Plug in your diesels to keep the block warm, in turn easier to start and less strain on batteries. Pull batteries and keep on trickle on those super cold evenings. Emergency Anti diesel gel solutions good to have on standby too. Ive had great reliability from the 24v, 12 valve, and 7.0 powerstroke. Thanks for the videos.

The only rural areas I recall were the farms where we would go blueberry picking in Indian Orchard. I love the fact that your channel focuses on New England and our culture here. One thing that my step-dad taught me years ago to do before the cold hits is to spray around the inside perimeter of vehicle doors with WD-40 to prevent them from getting frozen stuck during winter. You can also put some inside keyholes for the same purpose. Just thought I'd mention it when I saw your doors a bit stuck in case you weren't aware. Wonderful video as always!

Long driveways are often a place that needs a vehicle out on the near rode side. You have enough to choose one. Making a shelter fortis also a good idea. I have seen this done in New Hampshire, Colorado and Wyoming. Just a thought. Sleds are nice to have and four wheeled wagons instead of wheel barrows. You will forever have lots to do. Hope you make it “easy” on yourselves! Haha! Stay safe and warm. mar

With the impression of you having too many 'machines' suggest to get rid of one of your old timers, either old blue or the van no matter how much you emotionally attach to it. Also, decide which one to keep: the trooper or the not long ago acquired pickup truck. If you choose the pickup truck, you can get rid of the old red dodge as well. You can plow snow with the tracktor and transport wood with the remaining pickup. Also, try to sell the old red truck by the cabin. It just deteriorates there. With the money you get from these you can beef up your remianing machines and get more 'air' in your life. With friendly regards, Robbie from Europe.
