My husband retired this year as a life-long roofer of 35 years. He's 62 as was able to roof til he retired. The last 10 years he did mostly repairs and smaller roofs. I also retired after 25 yrs as an independent housekeeper. We do a lot of napping, slow living, peaceful activities.

Yes I have awakened with pain in my wrist because I had slept with it bent somehow. Also sore shoulders from sleeping with my arms over my head. Sometimes sleeping is hazardous to your health as you get older 😂. The roof looks great. It doesn't look like the same house. Wow ❤ Merry Christmas you two & a healthy prosperous New Year.❤💚⛄🎄🥳

I’ve had similar issues with my wrists over the years working at a keyboard every day. My chiropractor recommended rubber band exercises. Put a rubber band around your finger tips. Open and close your fingers with the rubber band as resistance until your hand is fatigued. Once a day every day. That stopped my pain after a couple weeks. That was about 20 years ago. It has always worked for me. It is also a good hand exercise for playing guitar. I added a stress ball to my routine to work the hands in both directions for playing guitar. Thanks for all the great content!

What a stunning roof! Love that its black too, it's timeless. I was so glad to see you were able to get a new roof before the harshest of winter. I live in the mountains in NH and can relate to the driveway ice, it was -2° last night and my driveway is all icy jagged edges😅. About your wrist, sometimes the weather change shows up in our joints. Before storms random joints can hurt very bad from the barometric pressure change and then return to normal after it lets up. Other possibility is that you injured a muscle/tendon, sometimes it takes a day or so to really flare. With how the weathers been it's likely the weather. People can also have allergy symptoms from the barometric change. I bet thats where the saying, "I can feel it in my bones" comes from lol. Hoping you have an auction I would be interested. The roof looks amazing! And I got such a kick out of watching Harper and Mowgli with their antics and fun in the snow. As for the pain, I've woken up with a sore wrist and a sore back, among other random soreness. At 44, all I have to do is sleep the wrong way and something will hurt the entire morning. Haha.

You need a rear blade for your tractor - it’s what I’ve used for years to plow my drive. Works like a charm - you can drag and even push snow by flipping the blade and using reverse. Great for dirt too and you can set it at an angle to cut in ditches and bevel drives. Very versatile. Merry Christmas!

You need a chimney cap before the moisture down the hot flue cracks the tiles

The new roof looks really nice, that's what I put on our house a black metal roof and we love ours. We put ours on a few years ago and it still looks great. Snow melts right off. Nice windows also, making your house look newer

I’m 70and yes wake up and in general aches and pains will stop you in your tracks but will subside. I’m no Dr. but your body will let you know when you need to take a break. Watching a video from 10 months ago real winter life at my rural countryside home 3 minutes and 3 seconds in you asked if this was real snow there's a back building with red Orange stores a white star and a charcoal Gray building I think the Spring your house should be amazing this cover with the snow all around it it gives you a great idea we just painted our house a midnight blue that was a game changer

Your hard work is finally coming together. Everything looks so good. I was so impressed with that amazing garden that you two built. And the harvest was what it is all about. One thing I have observed by watching Trout and Coffee is never give up. There are mistakes and foul ups but that is how we learn. By doing the task at hand and never being defeated. That roof looks great. I couldn’t tell but I sure hope you had a layer of insulation installed before the storm guard and metal roof. That will save you a bundle on hearing and cooking costs and make your house much more comfortable.

Yes for the injury. I went on a Holliday in July and when I got back to my routine gym schedule, i couldn't do a curl workout. Still as of today I can't do them. This gave me the opportunity to experience other things but still not the same. Looks like my age is setting in lol 🤷‍♂ keep those awesome videos coming.
