The holidays have arrived in rural New England as I continue to renovate my off-grid cabin and make memories with my close friends. Jon and I move a piano for Arlo Guthrie's son and Jon's little brother comes home from the marines to surprise him right before Thanksgiving. The magic of the holiday season is gearing up, and the snow is making our small New England towns cozy as ever.

Oh Kyle, what a beautiful way to share yourself with us this Xmas - the crackling of the ice, the contrast between the waterfall and swimming hole, the nature walk (down a road I would love to live on), and the beautifully lit quaint town that time forgot (a reminder of my own youth growing up in MA). Your quote about playing outside bringing out the creativity was SO right on! We were truly blessed growing up in nature where we made our own fun with forts in woods, catching pollywogs in streams, and skating on frozen ponds and creeks. Please keep sharing these places where creativity blooms so that others can know there are lives to be lived, places to explore, and memories to be forged. They must learn to see and enjoy a world beyond Xbox for their own (and the earth’s) survival. Nothing matches the gifts of nature and our own imagination when we are playing in it! Loving the memories this conjures up for me. Hearing you talk of John & that typewriter sends me back to my first baby blue manual Royal Classic typewriter gifted to me in 5th grade. Dad claimed it from the lost & found after his shift on the LIRR. The 30-day wait was over & nobody came for it. That Christmas we also got a 3 out of 6-stringed guitar which he had restrung, and a pair of ice skates needing a good blade sharpening. I absolutely LOVED going to work w him on those 3-day holiday Mondays. It was like shopping for free😂 We'll be welcoming our 8th direct generation of the armed forces home this Friday 😊 ~Best of blessings to keep them all safe. Great video!

Brings back great memories for me, living in the Albany/Troy area for about 5 yrs when i was 7-12 yrs old many, many moon ago. Used to play hockey games in the Pittsfield area all the time and would stop in Stockbridge for a cup of hot coco. Nothing better than a true Northeastern Xmas.
