Hahaha, was so amped in anticipation of how Mori will interpret this and dang, she made her presence known. Took an originally male voice and on this classic Filipino rock ballad and just gave it some Morified treatment! When she did that live version of Dream On i said there's no way she can top this. That didn't last long. I should stop saying that! No tough high note song is safe with Morissette!

Si Morissette talaga yung may widest range when it comes to *pure* chest voice. Her "mixed" voice is very "chesty" dahil malaking porsyento ng vocal resonance nya ay galing sa lalaugan (pharynx, throat). Gumagamit din sya ng konting nasal resonance, pero yung pag-gamit nya ng nasal resonance ay maliit na porsyento lang ng 'resonance' nya. Yung karamihan kasi, mas malaking porsyento ng resonance nila ay pinapadaan nila sa ilong (nasal, mask resonance), kaya mas matinis yung timbre ng boses nila. Pansinin ninyo, kakaiba yung kapal ng boses ni Mori dahil mas puro na "chest voice" yung gamit nya. Mas mahirap i-develop yung technique ni Mori dahil mas kailangang maging "open" yung lalaugan nya, which requires a lot more muscular training to develop that ideal "open throat" posture. Pansinin ninyo, Mori sings with a lot of muscular effort (she is a very physical singer, as seen in all her performances), and the result is a richer, fuller timbre/tone, with well defined overtones, even in her upper vocal range.
