So much fun. Thank you Troy Stetina for this excellent Heavy Metal lead guitar method book! I had the cassette too. Learned so much from this, and this is the book I recommend to all aspiring lead guitar students!

Im in my forties and i had this book and cassette some 20 years ago. I just found my cassette with no writing on it. Plugged it in and realized how much influence this guy had on me. A great book. I need to find it again!

Came back to this after at least 10 years. Still knew EVERY note and amazed how much fun it still is. Amazing backing track and dito book. Highly recommended to every guitar player that wants to improve their soloing.

i just started to practice it and when I hear Troy Stetina playing it , it seems like I'm never gonna play it. I'm a beginner, I guess I have a long way to go.

Back in the early 90s, I used to take lessons from a guy named Paul Brown (R.I.P.) at Indy's Music House in Indianapolis where (I believe) Troy Stetina used to teach shortly before that. Paul taught me to play from his own heart, and from this book as my main "structure." The lessons are amazing and the technique I learned here is still loudly present in my general playing. It's great these are on KZbin so I can pull out the book and still pretend I'm 15 again. Except now most of this is effortless and I feel a real sense of growth and gratitude.

Man, how to play this? Really? I have the book and have been practicing so much but still can’t even come close to the lightning speed needed :(
@emanuelemazzoni7824 жыл бұрын
Practice slow. Study the passages you consider most difficult at low speed, possibly with a metronome. Increase speed gradually. You'll see that in a short time you will play this tune. It is not difficult.

When you know how to play this you are already better than 80% of guitarists in the bands in your town, no shit

Took me forever to figure this out, but the last lick with the hammer-ons and pull-offs was always hit and miss for me, until I today setup my guitar action and now I feel like I am 50% faster and 300% smoother :D
