Howdily ho neighborinos! I'm so glad to see this short resonating with the fans. We spent over a year making this. It was an honor voicing Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure in this, and I hope we were able to give the characters the send-off they deserved.

All his voices are so close to their originals I almost feel like I should've animated in the style of the show itself. But animating in a different style to my own - even a simpler one - would've taken a lot longer, and I doubt I would've been able to do a convincing forgery of the "look" of the show back then. Unlike myself, Jayden has a goal of working on the show someday, so he has more of an interest in being indistinguishable from the original!

Because Lionel Hutz was basically Phil's own voice without any changes, Troy had more of an infection which looked to emulate the old time actors from Hollywood

This is genuinely on the same level of comedic writing as seasons 4 - 9 of the Simpsons. The animation is superb, I especially liked Troy's dream sequence near the end. I already loved the Mr.Snrub animation, but this is even greater!

This is a goddamn masterpiece. I laughed harder at this than any modern Simpsons episode...Ok, that didn't come out right. I laughed harder at this than I expected from a quick seven minute fan animation. (Better?) Seriously, the voice acting (love that the dolphin sounds like Harry Shearer), the music, the different animation styles... it's all gold! You also have the structure of a classic Simpsons episode spot on. And don't think I didn't notice that Clone High reference. If the current writing staff for Zombie Simpsons was laid off today, I'd nominate you guys as a more than worthy replacement.

Also the other lawyer seemed a bit too normal in contrast to the other characters and the usual shenanigans that happens in the Simpsons. Some of his reactions were something Frank Grimes would've had, not the other residents of Springfield.

@@ordelian7795 That lawyer is a staple Simpsons character - he's never given a name, but he shows up whenever the show needs a 'typical lawyer' character. He acts exactly as he does in the show - he's a textbook snide, probing, antagonistic prosecution lawyer. He's the perfect foil to Troy, and he acts exactly as such in more than one episode. I think his representation here was entirely faithful.

Wow - There is so much to admire in this video, from the brilliant voice acting, to the unique animation (almost in the style of Ren and Stimpy) to actually capturing the humor from The Simpsons' golden era. The judge being white in the beginning and black at the end is an especially humorous Easter egg. Well done everyone involved!

This was AMAZING. Great animation, great writing, great voice acting, and some solid humor. I have to admit, I went into this with uncertainty, but came out pleasantly surprised. So many great Simpsons references, too! I would watch an entire series of this. The only thing that could have made it better was having Poochie return from his home planet for a cameo.
