Leave Jesus? No way!! My ex husband told me that I needed to choose between him and God. He said that church was not for him. He would go, but sleep and snore loudly during the whole service. Even to the point of an usher coming up and staring at him. I threw my hands up -- if you can do something, go for it. King David was an extraordinary man. But I think the lineage line and lines are there to show that Jesus was from a pure lineage as apposed to a Nephilim lineage. The devil knew the messiah was to be born and was trying to corrupt the seed of salvation ahead of time. When that didn’t work he had Herod kill the babies as a last stitch effort which also didn’t work. I myself am very impressed by David but even more so by King Josiah who was found faultless before God. I believe he is in a category by himself.
