It's 4 AM. The first time I ever listened to one of Troyes' songs was about 5 years ago. I haven't been listening to his songs for a while. These past couple of months, I have finally been catching up to the "new" songs he's made. Since Bloom, I'd never really listened to any of his new music. Now, I found this song in particular very beautiful, and right now, I was in the mood to listen to it and just know what this song is actually about. Of course I could guess a little bit, but I'm always curious about what people speculate or what artists say the song means to them. I went on Genius and started reading the lyrics. I clicked on one of the lyrics to see what someone added, and I saw the literal words "widely speculated to have something to do with Sivan’s split from modeling boyfriend, Jacob Bixenman." This actually brought me in some kinda shock. I still remember when their relationship was announced to the public, when their 4-year anniversary was, I still just can't believe it. I just never expected them to break up for some reason. I also can't believe I just found out about this, even though I've been listening to this song for months now, I just thought it would be one of his exes before Jacob. I assumed Angel baby was about him as well.. Okay, now it's time to move on. I listened to this album sitting with my girlfriend at her table back in November 3 thousand miles away from home. She became my ex girlfriend in December. Never been more heartbroken. I used to listen to Animal by Troye and i used to smile to myself cause I felt like I had found that person who is going to stay forever. Troye had Jacob and I had my bf.
