Just like troye said, it's about creating yourself. Do whatever is in your reach. It's about being able to feel fabulous with your body. Be a confident person, that might not look like a model, is much more interesting than a bubble gum bitch (in my opinion). Not every one will look at you like you deserve but the ones that do see your beauty, are the ones that you want to keep close. One of my idols once said: the best day of my life was the day is started being myself. You see it's about being a better you. This doesn't mean bc you don't look/feel how you want to look/feel doesn't mean you are not giving your best. It's about being the pizza with the BEST tomato sauce you can find in your supermarket, it's about being the iPhone 100, it's about being the best quality of donuts in your mall! It's not about finding yourself but about creating yourself. So right. I never liked the "find yourself, find who you are" thing. It implies that what you are is already decided but you have do find yourself and conform to yourself. Creating yourself is more about being in control of you and what you become. You do have a choice, you can become who you want to be, whatever that is (as long as it's legal and not hurting anyone). I used to stop myself from doing things I would have secretly wanted to do, thinking "this is not me, it would be weird, people would think I'm trying to be someone cool I am not", but this is so wrong. We decide what character we want to play in the great RPG of life, we can develop our character the way we want and there is no such thing as "doing something OOC" when it's something you want to do.

I never wanted to look at myself in the mirror. I was always afraid of what I saw. A girl that has Hyperactive Thyroidism. I never wanted to look at myself because I knew I wouldn't like what I saw. At school, whenever I passed a mirror, I wouldn't look, I didn't care if others looked at me, but I knew I wasn't going to like what I saw in the mirror. Today, I've become much more aware that it doesn't matter what's on the outside, it's what's on the inside that counts. I need you to know i watched this for the first time when i was 16 years old. Still very much in the closet, and i found this to be the most important video i’ve ever seen. Cause it spoke VOLUMES to me. Here I am, 23, still coming back to this video every once in a while since then, and still always finding inspiration and motivation in it. Forever my inspiration. I had a Tyler Oakley marathon yesterday and came across Troye. After having a Troye marathon I've concluded he's not only someone who can make me laugh like I did when I was 8 years old and hadn't a care in the world, again, but he's a person who understands. He's a man who knows how crazy life can get, and I couldn't be happier that he is using that knowledge in a good way. Thank you, Troye, for showing me how to laugh again and pushing me to be myself. This video is just what I needed. My whole entire life I've struggled with being myself. I started making youtube videos at the age of 13 and gravitated into an internet icon. Due to the words of my peers at school, work, everywhere, I let this affect me. I quit KZbin and left my fan base. It took me 2 years to find myself again and music did exactly that. I'm happier than I've ever been making the music that I love. For anyone read this no matter what age, be you. I can't stress the importance of that explained in this video. We all make mistakes and that's okay. Just do what you love and be happy.

If somebody is interested in the script (or the lyrics) of the video :-) This is a video about platform shoes, among other things as well but mostly about platform shoes. For as long as I've been creative, I've been fearful. Fearful of rejection, fearful of failure, fearful of "who does this kid think he is?". But a year ago I signed my record deal and I thought I was going to wake up one morning and all of a sudden be the dopest person on the planet. With sick style and incredible music. I realized soon after that it was not going to be that easy. I realized that the art I appreciate and the people I appreciate are not just your average person walking down the street. You can take away their money and take away their fame. And they will cut up a garbage bag and be wearing it like it just came off the runway in Paris. They'd still be doing that thing that is just left of center that you either love or you hate, but to be frank they don't give a fuck what you think. Art is risk. Upon realizing this it had been an interesting journey. I'm on the path to being a person I'm equally terrified by and obsessed with. My true self. I realized that if I wanted to make cool shit, I had to make cool shit. If that cool shit was letting myself scream into a microphone in a room full of people looking like a complete idiot, because I know it's going to sound amazing on the final track, it's about doing that. But this doesn't only apply to me. If it means taking rad photos that your friends are going to condescendingly call 'so tumblr', it's about doing that. If it's about singing on the top of your lungs when you're tone deaf, it's about doing that. If it's about showing off your ass because you know it's cute, even though you might get called a slut, it's doing that. If it's wearing something you probably can't pull off, like women's platform converse shoes when you're a 19 year old man, it's about doing that. Whatever it is, I urge you to do it. Don't let people stifle you because you're doing the shit that they have always been too scared to do. Love your body, let your mind wonder, and let yourself be the person you've secretly always wanted to be.
