Time to change brakes again.... for no reason... other than the fact that the TRPs look sick AF! Unfortunately the RockShox Barb connector failed me this time so I had to drop the motor to route the rear brake hose 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Fortunately i didn't have to remove the battery but magnet kit definitely came in handy!
Can't wait to try these bad boyz out!!!!

Hey man! Found your channel by searching dhrs. Cool video and sweet bike! I bought a Levo a few months ago. Then I too bought the dhr’s and installed then and was in love with them. I didnt shorten the front cable(hose) and so my front brake is still on the factory bleed. I did have to cut the rear hose to route it and did a lever purge and all was good. They worked great!! Next upgrade was onxy classics hubs on Nobl tr41 wheels and the hubs are centerlock as the 6bolt wasnt in stock. I was hesitant but didnt feel like waiting and got the CL hubs. So I had to get new rotors as I didnt want to use those centerlock to 6bolt adapters. Anyway, after finally getting the speed sensor magnets bracket and everything else I needed, I went for a ride. Right away I noticed the rear brake was spongy and had a bite point that was all over the place. I figured out that my rotor was bent and was pushing the caliper pistons in as I was riding. So I bought yet another rotor and sure enough, that one also bent somehow!! I bled the rear brake and have done so many lever purges. The brake feels great in my shop but then acts up when I hit the trails! Have you had any issues with yours? My front brake still work amazing but I cant get the rear back to awesomeness!!! Just curious if you have any issue?! Thanks for the video!!

Thanks bud definitely loving the DHR II with its weight saving and I don't think I'll need Assegai for the trails around me. The brakes has been good except the rear one make noise when it gets warm. No problem with bite power, but still getting used to the modulation. Happy shredding buddy 🤙🏻

I was lucky when changing out the brakes on my bike as my bike has full in-frame tubing for the brakes. Took about 2 minutes to pull out the Code cable, then install the new line for the TRP brakes. I went with the TRP Evo DHR as well, don't have the 2.3mm rotors as yet, but so far so good. I am also on the stock pads, will get them a few more rides to see how I like them.

Can’t wait for the TRP review! I also have the MTX pads and very happy with them. Much better than the stock SRAM G2 pads Whoever told you not to use torque wrench to loosen bolts is 👍🏻

YO the RACEFACE color rims. Are sick I am Buying a new wheelset with I9Hydra and RaceFace ARC35 OFFset. Gotta know are they stickers are special ordered? I just bought the TRP DH-R EVO in GOLD. But wish I went with black. Luckily they are pre-bled, & purging the Levers is easy. My One worry is I went with 40mm PostMount adapter for the front to go to 220, & now wondering if I made a mistake going so big, because There is no rubber spacer like with the 20mm not sure why.

Hey dude, good choice. I'm curious about your riding impressions, I have no experience with TRP! What happened to you is exactly what happened to me when I converted to a Shigura. Crazy muscles, there's nothing you can do about it…😅 Removing the engine was easier than I thought, but installing the inner spacers on the upper bolts was a test of patience for me.

What diameter rotor did you go with? 223? How did you get it to fit?
@allshownogolf
@allshownogolf Жыл бұрын
Yea 223 front, and I think 220s in the rear. You just need to get the appropriate adapters for the calipers. For example, if your fork post is 180mm, then you will need a +43mm adapter, etc

How is the report on the TRP DH EVO? I had Magura MT7, but just bought the DHR EVO for my next build, how did you like them?
@allshownogolf
@allshownogolf 2 жыл бұрын
In terms of modulation it sits between Magura and Sram, once you get use to it it has great/smooth bite with awesome control.

How do they perform If U compare to Ur Magura?
@allshownogolf
@allshownogolf 2 жыл бұрын
Almost similar feeling when you go from Shimano to Magura, more modulation and later bite. Once the bite starts to kick in it's extreme precise modulation with tons of power 👍🏻
