I managed to get the fan out without removing the hoses and having to drain the radiator. It will save a lot of time!!! Remove the airbox, jack the car up and once the fan is unclipped and freed you can take it downwards through the bottom of the car. The same can be done for re-fitting. Took me 30 mins on a 1.2 fiesta 2012.

I didn’t move the bottom radiator hose didn’t need to I hope there’s not a reason too 😅

I'm trying to determine where the wires go that come off the harness and up next to the hood latch. Could you tell me what they attach to? Mine got ripped off at some point. And I can not find what they plug into. Thanks for any help you can offer

Like everyone says it's not necessary too drain coolant but it's a nice step too change too fresh coolant

I have the same fan model but i can not find the fan resistor, with some fans comes on the fan and with anothet comes without , can u explain it ?

just so everyone is aware, the wiring harness tabs will always break when you pop them off. My question is... mine is squeaky, can you remove the backing of the fan and attempt to oil the fan stem going into the fan motor? Mine is about on its last leg but the fan still operates but it sounds dry like how a normal fan in your home does when it gets dry and gunked up. I really dont wanna spend the money right now to replace it if its not necessary. I have a 2019 Ford Fiesta SE and the fan will run and then it squeaks and slows down and then stop making the sound for a few and then does it more. So that tells me the fan stem / fan motor area has no grease left.

Wat is the power of the old and new fan? Becouse when i search for a new fan, i see that there a differences in power. Some got 250 Watt, some 380 Watt. Thnx.

No need to drain this is an avoidable extra step especially considering it’s a pressurized system to refill that rad
