This video shows you how to install a new variable valve timing solenoid in your 2009-2015 Honda Pilot. If the variable valve timing solenoid in your vehicle is stuck or clogged, causing your engine to not run properly, you may notice reduced fuel efficiency, sputtering, rough running or stalling in your engine. Solenoids usually need to be replaced once they begin to fail.
This repair was done on a 2011 Honda Pilot EX 3.5L Sport Utility 4-Door and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
