I love what Asha is saying about Fixed Income Retirees choices. The cost of living in America is going crazy. In fact in all of the West. As a Retiree the most important needs are Healthcare, Quality Accommodation with Amenities, Relax environment with great comfort, Quality Food and Entertainment. SA recommend annual income of $30000 for Retirees. That's just $2500 per month. With that you have a Quality of Life and Lifestyle Affordability in South Africa equivalent to $10000 in the US. Comprehensive Medical Aid / in US medical insurance is $200 which would be $1600 in USA for an example. A household food basket of $300 in South Africa in US you'd need to multiply by 3 or 4. $300 is R5500. Household budgets are half that by the way, that's Woolies organic food lifestyle. In reality Retirement Age with fixed income may benefit more relocating to South Africa for your Golden years with access to best medical centres.

I love your channel! You’re channel is what truly encouraged me to choose SA as my new home for when I leave America. I was so looking forward to moving to SA in 3 years when my child graduates high school. But now, with the new African rejection of the dollar, and the petro dollar likely going away, I don’t see how this is not going to prevent many American expats from taking the step of making SA their home.

The way to get ppl in South Africa if the South African leaders and African American or Caribbean leaders set up a program, where the diaspora can set up a business & get either land or discount home for relocation. Many of us have business ideas but can’t leave the USA financially

South Africa already gives you amazing discounts with your dollars. A R1m home in US dollars is $55200..R2m home is just about $110000. You'd be poor in America buy cross over to South Africa automatically you are middle class. The kind of lifestyle in New York where minimum salary to make it is $7000 / m. You need $1500 in South Africa. Not even half. $2500 is R45000 which is recommended income. R45000 is good middle, middle class. So don't look at Southern Africa at the lenses of US income. Purchasing Power Parity between South Africa and USA is a real cushion. Maintain earnings of $2500 + in US and live in South Africa, you'd be just fine if not even better than you'd have been in US of A.

I think many want to, but most won’t have the money to relocate or don’t want to leave family. We know it’s about to get bad for us. Wish we could have came over & start business together, but ran out of time.
