This song STILL gives me goosebumps and I must've listened to it a thousand times at this point.

Man, this is one of those songs you forget about and then get reminded again and listen to it 3 times on the way to work and then again back for 3 weeks 👌

Constellations. The first ever ABR album I bought and is still my favorite although Phantom Anthem is a close, close second. The melodic sweeps and emotion of Constellations with a few brutal songs thrown in makes it one of their top albums. I mean "Meridian" is still one of my all-time favorites. I love Pangea, Empire, Cutting the Ties, and many of their songs. But in my opinion, Constellations is on a level of its own.

I see August Burns Red and I click like. One day you'll have to do Back Burner just for the nostalgic Messengers goodness.
@returntoearth25566 жыл бұрын
I first discovered ABR sometime after Messengers had been released. Then Constellations came out & to this day it's still one of my all time favorite albums, start to finish. All their albums since have been great as well (didn't care too much for Rescue & Restore, personally) however, in my personal opinion, Constellations remains their most complete, cohesive release to date. So many deep, meaningful lyrics as well that have just stuck with me. "You won't ever fly fast enough to make time stand still." "Stop acting like there's no other option but to let the waves carry you away....Can u hold the water responsible for your wayward behavior, anymore than it blames you for its gripping currents?" "Don't excuse yourself from life today on the pretense of your past." "Open your closed mind, close your open mouth. You're pushing more than you're pulling. Every word that u say passes thru my ears before it even escapes your lips. No one learns from someone they hate. Your mouth is like a grenade, blowing everyone away." "Swallow your pride, because silence is golden, and I wouldn't pay a penny to hear your thoughts." And probably my favorite lyric on Constellations is from Thirty and Seven: "Your mind is the mountain before you. You've reached the summit, now transcend the skies." Plus Tommy Giles Rogers from BTBAM is featured on Indonesia which is fucking awesome. But the great lyrics are throughout all of their music beyond Constellations.
