I was having a string of bad luck with the SD card's. The air temp was anywhere between 30 and 60゚. Altogether I had for 4 SD card errors in a matter of 5 days. The cards were all different SanDisk Ultimate Pro's 128mb. I always do the long format in the PC before formating them in the Gopro. The errors occurred with as many as 177 clips recorded on one card , and as few as 4 clips on another. I have checked the firmware, it's up to date on the Gopro. It happened to both the Hero 9 and 10 last week. In all I had planned to record 3 videos. I would have uploaded the videos to my computer earlier, but the laptop decided to stop working a few days prior. When I got back home I attempted to recover the files using Drill Disk. It only found one video. Unfortunately that program cost 95 bucks and it's not refundable. I laughed when you mentioned the blower. I just so happened to have it in my hand while walking into the truck camper. It was in the truck. It did not clean off the steps really good. Lol

Your videos to the point and useful. So many others are like "look at all the horribly over priced gadgets and gizmos I got for my $130,000 fifth wheel". Oh, I would say your front anti hitch rattle device is on upside down. They way it is, the U bolt and nuts are carrying the entire weight of the rack and it's cargo. Reverse it and let the hitch carry the all the weight. A talk radio listener? I'm pretty sure then where you are politically. Good for you.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm gonna look at the hitch this weekend. Thanks for the comments. I'm definitely not the guy who spends every penny I don't have on gadgets.

Just curious if you have looked at a soft start capacitor for your roof AC. I'm thinking about one so that a smaller 2500 watt generator can be used. Easier to transport.
@KennyOfAllTrades3 жыл бұрын
I have looked into it, but my AC is old and will need to be replaced sooner than later. The soft start was too expensive for me. I decided to add a hard start capacitor. It helps supply power during the first few seconds. It just a huge capacitor. It was an easy install. My old Honda 2000eu inverter was able to run the 13000btu Colman after that.

Hi Kenny, I'm a fan from SW Florida. I've recently discovered your channel and have been getting caught up on your videos. When you were talking about the seals around your slide and the age of your camper, it reminded me of my RV. I had a 2000 Winnebago Chieftain that I sold a couple years ago. I bought it used and the seals on the camper were very worn and getting hard. After doing some research I found a lot of comments about 303 Aerospace. The RV Geeks actually suggested it as well, so I got it and was very impressed. It softened my seals and really helped with keeping water out. I don't know what you use for your slide seals, but if you haven't heard of it, might be a good thing to look into. Just a thought. Thank you!

I have not had any issues with attaching them to metal. The only issues I have is at 3am the musical tones will send a chill through your bones.........but don't worry...99.9% of the time its deer, racoon or bear. I ran the wires out of the vehicle from a rubber grommet near the drivers floor board. I was able to conceal the wires easily. It was a simple install.

Hey I have a question for you a diesel dually would that give you more pulling power and also will it help you to prevent from getting stuck how would that fit on a 7 ft bed
@KennyOfAllTrades2 жыл бұрын
That's a great question. I've never owned a dually, but I'll give you my opinion. As far as HP and torque the truck will be the same. As far as pulling power, a dually will have a higher towing and payload capacity. My camper will not fit properly in an 8 foot bed. People have put them in, but the camper enter of gravity is not where it would be in a short bed. That leaves a large gap between the camper and the cab ( I guess it's just more storage). I'm not sure about off road capability of a dually. I could see both pros and cons. I do like my short box SRW. I have never worried about the truck handling the extra weight. I can't afford a Dually or a diffrent camper so I tell myself to be content with what I have. If money was not an issue I would probably go with a Ford Dually 7.3 gas. I would look to see if that motor comes in a F450 or F550. Then go with a new Arctic Fox 1150 and trade in the camper every 5 years. Of course if money was no issue.
@pski2 жыл бұрын
A dually gives you greater weight capacity and helps a lot with side to side sway. But a dually is far less capable off road and more expensive to maintain. I’d only get one if your camper requires it weight wise.
