I am a former full time RVer. I started watching your channel because I am thinking of buying a pickup camper and getting back into it. I have enjoyed going back and watching all of your adventures, however, I must say I really enjoyed your cabin adventures also. I really liked watching the tree crew. It reminds me of me when I was doing the clearing of the woods I lived in . Keep up the great videos!

Interesting…we were in St Ignace on the 2nd and third - actually spent the day on Mackinac Island on the 3rd. Spent 3 nights before that on the Keweenaw Peninsula (Maclain State Park on Lake Superior). We like the UP a lot, especially the Apostle Islands above Bayfield, Wi. The whole coastline including the pictured rocks area and further east Tequamenan falls is interesting with a visit to whitefish Point and the Ship wreck Museum as well.

Have you camped up in Bayfield? There is a lovely, rustic campground just north of town towards Red Cliff called Dalrymple Campground. It is city run and near the lake. There is a lower part of the campground that is right on Lake Superior and you can watch all the sailboats, cruise ships, kayaks and the ferry to Madeline. It is absolutely stunning and you will fall asleep to the waves crashing below. They have electric and it’s all first come. But it often has open spots. $30/night.

It's kind of hard to narrow down recommendations, so many options. There are the obvious ones that everyone should see at least once like the pictured rocks or Tahquamenon Falls. There are lesser known but still popular ones like the Big Springs and even some untouched old growth giant timber in the Keweenaw peninsula. I kind of like the Lesser known and less crowded destinations. Lake Superior State Forest Campground, between Grand Marais and Newberry, is a nice little quiet Campground right on Lake Superior.

That trip you mentioned seems like a great idea especially in the fall. How does it feel being on the road now knowing you have a place called home to return to? I used to just jump into pool right away, no putting toes in to see if it’s cold. Is this a state campground? $24.00 a night is a bargain today. Lunch looked good. Thanks for taking us along.

@Living Large Camping, I’m trying to plan a trip to Michigan and hope you’ll feel comfortable sharing the name of this campground. I’m not sure which campgrounds are best and would appreciate suggestions from you and other viewers who are familiar with great locations in Michigan. Tips regarding best time of year would also be appreciated.
@LivingLargeCamping6 ай бұрын
Sure thing! This was Brevoort campground, right off of US2 near St, Ignace. I believe some of the sites are reservable online. As far as best time of year, the summer is the best weather but also the most crowds. If you're here in May or early June the flies and mosquitos can be horrible. Haven't experienced a fall up here yet!
