Truck Camping - Michigan's Upper Peninsula

Things I regret - Not starting Koda on a raw food diet sooner, buying a short bed pick-up truck and ordering KFC for the first time ever yesterday.
Things I don't regret - Adding a massive detour to our travels home, to see the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
I could've shaved a day off our travels by going south of Michigan, yet, with so many people telling us how beautiful it is, we had to see it for ourselves! And boy, it didn't disappoint!
Although we were pressed on time, by the 48 hours it added to our trip, we made sure to make every second count. From the beautiful secluded, soft and sandy beaches to the maze like dirt roads through the many forest we explored, both Koda and I felt like we were in paradise!
We also got to try a regionally popular pasty, a pastry like snack, stuffed with slow cooked meat and potatoes! It was absolutely incredible and I highly suggest it to anyone that finds themselves in the area!
Overall, 10/10 on Michigan itself and our quick decisiveness to make it our second to last stop on our way back to the east coast. Can't wait to return and spend a whole lot more time exploring such a wonderful place!
