I was at work today listening to this on Pandora. When Seán yelled out "FORD!! F-150!! GO OUT THERE AND TAKE YOUR LIFE!!!" It had the same effect of falling asleep at 2 am watching adult swim and one of the loud intermissions plays just as you get cozy. Sean's absolutely right about the break thing, there's no need to announce it, like sure I'll finally notice when there is a video back after a break, but life is moving to fast day to day for me to realize which channels aren't "following" their upload schedule. Prime example is literally Mark, I keep forgetting he's busy with all the post-production for the movie, and like he'll come back with a video here or a livestream there for his main channel and it doesn't hit me until then that "oh yeah Mark hasn't uploaded in like half a month". Also to be fair I'm subscribed to an atrocious number of channels (like over 550), so like damn because KZbin breaks from time to time, even if someone is on their grind perfectly I still miss peoples uploads be it my Subscriptions page glitching out or straight up my brain just doesn't pay attention and I skip over it.

For time signatures, the top number signifies the amount of notes in a measure, the bottom number signifies the length of said notes (4 = quarter, 8 = eighth, etc.). So 4/4 is four quarters per bar

Oh lordy! The Military segment is soo good! Honestly though they do try to shove it down your throat in school. They had a required test in my high school one year, and it covered a bunch of different subjects. If you did well on that test, guess who got regular calls and e-mails from the local military recruiters?? They will straight up tell you "Travel the world! Join the military!" Then send you to Kansas or somewhere not where they promised originally. Great stuff!

Music educator here: The top # in a meter tells you how many beats per measure, while the bottom # tells you what kind of note gets the beat. For example, 7 over 8 means 7 8th notes per measure. ♥

For those who are mainly reading One Piece and have a trouble time digesting all of it at once: learn or try to break up different arcs into pieces week by week or read a set of pages every week before you move on to the next big island or saga. Break it down for yourself while doing so, since there is no rush for you to complete the manga, and just take your time to enjoy the ride.

ok here’s the thing about time signatures. the bottom number is usually an exponent of 2 (1, 2, 4, 8, etc). this is because music usually has whole, half, quarter, eighth, sixteenth etc. notes. so the bottom number indicates what type of note you’re counting. the top number is how many of that type of note are in each measure. so if you have 3/4 time, that’s 3 quarter notes in each measure. if you have 6/8, that’s 6 eighth notes in each measure. there are lots of other strange time signatures with fractions and stuff but those are very uncommon.

Feet are probably generally more ticklish than hands because of the stimuli each are exposed and accustomed to... your hands are far more used to lighter, quicker, and more disorganised contact than your feet. Your nerves and brain therefore don't get so alarmed at those sensations on your hands... Your hands process tactile information more with skin surface nerves and light pressure, so if you were super ticklish on your hands it would impede your day-to-day life - whereas your feet are used to heavy pressure and are good at reading surfaces more with the type of nerves that sense pressure .. these are also the nerves that contribute to a lot of the pain sensation we get from injuries, which is _super_ important for our feet from an evolutionary perspective since we needed to quickly notice something that could injure us, and any injuries we did get before they get worse. So basically: light brushing, surface sensations aren't as prominent for feet like they are for hands, so it's a sensation that alerts our brain to something potentially wrong 😊. Needing to feel insects/other potential evolutionary threats etc. on the floor running over our feet may be another factor as to why feet can be so sensitive to that - which isn't as needed for hands since we're more aware of exactly what's touching them and can easily see them 🤷🏼♀️

as a drummer and a dancer i feel i need to jump in about the time signatures lol, so yes ethan you're right 3/4 is waltz time! the first number in a time signature tells you how many beats are in a bar, whereas the second tells you what kind of beat it is. for example, the most commonly used one in music is 4/4, which means there are four quarter notes in a bar, so the bar is counted 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4. with 3/4 there are three quarter notes in a bar, so its counted 1 2 3, 1 2 3. dance is often counted 8/4, so eight quarter notes in a bar - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. these are the most widely used ones but the top number can be basically anything you want, whilst the bottom number can only be bottom number can be a pre-existing note: 1 - a whole note lasting four quarters 2 - a half note lasting two quarters 4 - a quarter note lasting a quarter of a whole note 8 - an eighth note, lasting one eighth of a whole note, counted 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 16 - a sixteenth note, lasting one sixteenth of a whole note, counted 1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a 4 e & a and it could potentially and occasionally does go on to 32, 64, 128.. anyway you get the idea. i love music lol :)

The Fairy Tail manga is a bit long, but it's way shorter than one piece, and Idk, I feel like Sean and Ethan might enjoy it. I know Fairy tail isn't for everyone mostly because of the whole "power of friendship" thing, but honestly, I feel like it works really well in this series. Fairy tail is about a guild of wizards with magic powers, who fight, go on jobs/quests for money. The Fairy Tail guild is basically like a big family, who will fight and will do anything to protect their guild and their guild mates. The character development is really good, like most long animes there a few boring arcs, but for the most part the arcs are pretty good

1:09:35 Time signatures work like this. The top number is beats per measure. So in 3/4 you have 3 beats per measure. Now the bottom number indicates what note = 1 beat. In 3/4 the quarter note = 1 beat. So if you have 6/5 you have 6 beats per measure and the note that = 1 beat is...non existant bc notes are divisible by 2. Now a time signature that does exist is 5/6 which is five beats per measure and the note that = 1 beat is the 8th note. Also 3/4 is used in waltz. 4/4 is commen time. 2/2 is cut time. 6/8 is a more common compound time signature. That is all the theory knowledge I will give.

For time signature: top number is beats per measure and bottom number is the value of the beat or type of note that gets the beat. Like 4 over 4 is 4 beats per measure; quarter note gets the beat. Hearing them talk about what “a video” is and that it some times work just because it’s fun. That makes me happy. Because I truly believe that the most basic thing about KZbin is that people enjoy watching people have fun. It’s not about production value, light, stage, sound or quality in that sense. I believe that most viewers just truly enjoy watching people they vide with, enjoy them self and have fun. Like that’s what really made Unus annus work so well.

So 6/8 is 6 beats of eighth notes in one measure. 6/8 and 3/4 are basically the same beats per measure wise, but different feel wise. Time signatures is usually to determine the feel more than anything.

1:23:50 Ethan, I did the same thing! I had an awful attention span for reading and decided to give manga and graphic novels a try. Not only did I love the medium, but I also have found that I am way better at reading regular novels now! I definitely recommend manga as a great gateway to being good at and enjoying reading! I very largely recommend ‘Blame!’ It was my first manga. It’s not very long and the dialogue isn’t heavy by any means. The story is told very well through few words and very detailed scenery.

Time signature: Top = Beats per measure. Bottom = Which note gets the beat. For example: 4/4 or 3/4 = 4 or 3 beats per measure and quarter note gets the beat (“1 2 3 4”). 6/8 = 6 beats per measure and eighth note gets the beat (often in triplets for two “hard” beats where “123 123”).

I get ads for the military insanely often. Its probably bc of the whole ads being curated based on your data thing, bc I'm 18 so I'm a prime target for recruiting. They also send me stuff in the mail asking me to join. Its super weird, it feels like it shouldn't be allowed but i don't know why

Time signatures! The top number is the number of beats per measure, & The bottom number is the size of the standard beat in relation to the others. Example: 4/4- 4 beats to the measure, the quarter note gets one beat! Example two: 6/8- 6 beats to the measure, an eighth note gets one beat! 6/5 is 6 beats to the measure, the “fifth note” (which I haven’t ever seen in notation, but would theoretically exist) gets one beat

For time signatures the top number represents how many beats are in a measure, and the bottom number represents what note gets one beat. Some common ones are: 4/4 time = 4 beats a measure, and a quarter note gets 1 beat (also called common time because a lot of music is in this time) 3/4 time = 3 beats a measure, and a quarter note gets 1 beat (a waltz) 6/8 time = 6 beats a measure, and the eighth note gets 1 beat (this time signature is common in jigs) 2/2 time = 2 beats a measure, and the half note gets one beat (also called cut time, a lot of marches are in cut time)

Sean trying to explain time signatures hurts so much 😭 it‘s how many of a certain type of note is in a measure. 4/4 is 4 quarter notes per measure, 16/8 is sixteen eighth notes per measure, and so on.
