Great video! I would try to get the mic volume up, please. I am also a trainer who uses the same simulator for about 19 years now. I have pretty much the same approach with our drivers as this trainer has with his. It's not about who's the best driver and it's not about who can go through the Simulation without crashing. If we introduced those 2 concepts in Simulation training, then it would be a hard sell for drivers to feel comfortable with the training. They would feel intimidated. I tell our drivers that I still crash on the Simulator! However, this Sim has made me a better driver because I've learned from my own mistakes therefore I can pass that along to our drivers so that they don't make my mistakes. Especially our newer drivers. This trainer is great!! He has a positive attitude, is humble and he takes great pride in what he does!

I can't wait to start working for Schneider by the end of this month :D Just a random question, have you guys ever thought about using American Truck Simulator for training? It's pretty realistic, has great graphics, and you can customize any button. So you can assign the parking brake to work when you pull the parking brake on the real dash. Though you can't really simulate snow that well in the game, I just figured I'd ask anyways :D

Great video. My 1st impression was the confidently humble attitude of the trainer. That in itself demonstrates a high core safety value... unlike a commenter below whose comment shows utter ‘it’ll never happen to me” style complacency (not safe!). I am new to Schneider, new to the industry. Will I be able to randomly run sims when as I travel OTR? Is it a sign-up 1C1S process, or more schedule appointment type thing? Thank you.

Thank you for your interest in a driving job with Schneider! Schneider is unable to hire drivers who do not currently have Work Authorization from the CIS (Citizenship and Immigration Services). We also require our drivers to have a residence in the United States and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (which requires proof of U.S. residency). If you need assistance in obtaining Work Authorization from the CIS, you should contact the U.S. Consulate closest to your residence. You can also find information on the internet site www.state.gov.

Schneider is good truck company But I don't understand why they got some poor driving skill trainer. I was in Carlisle PA for orientation, There is female trainer name Christian Always have to smoke. She even can't back in in alley dock in one shoot. She have pull up a couple of time to do it . While driving she show not only poor driving skill but also poor judgmental skill.she even ask students wait at intersection while it is green light.

So do you always go to the elementary/intermediate stage in whatever activity and spew ridiculous, arrogant comments like that to stroke your fragile super trucker ego? Let me guess, you were born a trucking master and, besides, everything must apply and cater to YOU and YOUR specific situation, ‘cause you’re special like that, right? Thank dog you guys and your self-righteous, predictably bitter, inflexible attitude are being phased out into oblivion in the next few years

you can never stop learning however with this simulation I have to call BS he hit nothing there wasn't anything in view until after it said collision he started to lose traction and as soon as he put the corrective inputs in it was like a spoiled kid flipping a game board cause he's losing lmao I'm not against sims but this exercise only teaches its not ok to drive in low vis period you can though just slower...
