The perfect number plate… Let’s hope the police don’t pull him for it being illegally spaced 😅

Glad to see old Stralis MK1, FH3's, and old TGX still rolling today.

After over a year of filming trucks, that is the only version 1 Stralis we've seen, they have pretty much disappeared sadly

@scottish.truckspotting Some of them have been sold to other Countries, especially Africans. Hoping that the owner keep it tidy and fully operated.

@@muhdaffaqil That's right, a lot of lorries get exported after they've finished their working life in the UK. We always record all the older trucks even if they haven't been customised because soon they'll all be gone! Thanks for watching :)

@Swimmingforlife Johnny, you must recall the old Coatesgate cafe on the old A74 at Beattock Summit? That was just about as far as my tachodisc allowed on a regular drive from Gosport to Cumbernauld, four and a half from Gosport to Corley and four and a half up to Coatesgate. Between you and me we could write a book, trouble is we'd be the only ones who'd read it. Truck on, mate😂

@@Onthemove6801 Hi Colin Yes I remember it well, quarry on one side of the 74 and the cafe on the north bound side. The Coatsgate cafe became a terrible place to park, it actually got named, bandit cafe, lot of theft from trailers and fuel theft also, I got emptied out one night, fuel, never stopped there again. Yes Colin we had the good days, manual entry log books, they were fun trying to remember what you had done all week, then the tachograph, I always kept forgetting to move the we’d dials😂😂, especially rest, yes great days, now happy to potter about in my shed and go shopping with my wife. Kind regards, Johnny

@Swimmingforlife. Johnny, as often as I used to overnight at Coatesgate I didn't know about its reputation and fortunately didn't fall victim. The factory at Gosport was where Ferguson made televisions, the big bulky ones, not paper thin ones! It was always a trailer full of tvs, handballed, not palletised, that I used to stay there with. Lucky or what? When we used to load the original Ferguson Videostar VHS players out of Heathrow or Gatwick (1500 handballed) that were also destined for Cumbernauld, we used to overnight in the TCS depot in Chadderton. 1500 at about £750 each was a bit too risky even to stop en-route for a comfort break!! Cheers - Colin
