As a biker and a trucker I can see both ends of this story! I'm guilty of both unfortunately! HA! Gets annoying after a 15 hour day when people keep cutting you up but there's no need to tailgate anyone like that. Ever!

When you're running a pull-bar trailer in that kind of situation you know people are going to get trapped alongside you, though. I don't think the woman in the red car did anything at all wrong and wasn't really trying to push in. I wonder what his problem was?

Semi trucks always feel the need to be in the front, even though they are the slowest travelers. They always feel the need to pull out in front of you even when there is no one behind you and they could have waited 2 seconds for me to pass, but they're assholes who feel like they own the road.

Both were bell ends! Hgv closed the gap but the red car decided to pass the hgv way to late. It should have just placed itself behind the hgv at the start of the video.

if the car driver didn't know the road, they may have assumed the 2 lanes continued for a while. Also its possible the lorry driver couldn't see the car in its blind spot.

Short of stopping dead when she realised what was happening (then putting me in danger) there wasn't much else she could do... If you've got a vehicle that long you need to be a bit more humble.

nastyevilninja she shouldn’t have attempted the overtake, she was hesitant at the start of the clip then decided to pass when it wasn’t safe. The hgv driver shouldn’t have closed the gap but why should he have to let someone in who is stupid enough to pass with no where to go?

@@scottlaaa To keep the flow of traffic, which is the whole point of the merge. If she stopped dead and waited for 60ft of truck to crawl by, then she has to deal with the next car behind that, only from a standstill. He just made it all unsafe - and that's from someone who rides like me lol!

nastyevilninja it’s her who has to safely merge not the hgv he was already in that lane. She should have tucked in behind it, she should have adjusted her speed and slotted in safely not speed up and have no where to go.
