I'll add to Tom's response to the Confederate flag question. As an Indigenous Canadian, I can say that there were literally thousands of black, Asian, and Indigenous people from around the country supporting this movement and they continue to do so. They know this isn't about racism/misogyny and that the government and their lapdog (The NDP) are simply trying to deflect from the main issues and gaslight people like they always do. In fact, two of the protestors that were brutalized by police were a Mohawk woman and a Jamaican man. How does Blackface get to call anyone racist?

Just a note in regards to the charges given to those heading the peaceful protest. First it needs to be understand. That these people did not go to their home town Saturday peacefully protest. Rather they drove thousands of miles to have their voices heard. The each went and parked on their own merits. They each went to speak on their own behalf. They each went with intentions to be given an ear by the prime minister. It was not the peaceful protestors were not at fault but rather the leader of our country is responsible for the lengthy time it took to be heard. Rather than listening to them. The prime minister used force to have them removed. Him and his henchmen built their case on fabricated lies against the peaceful protestors. The members that voted with the government obviously were mis informed by the bribed media and the liberals. The members that voted with the liberals did so based on those lies. What I can say is those that elected those members all had access to unedited live stream video audio showing the truth. By the case against these peaceful protestors being built on sand. Flags mean different things to different people. Blacks tend to look at the Confederate flag and think it stands for racism and the oppression connected with slavery. Many Southerners didn't fight the Civil War over slavery, though. It was over the rights of states as opposed to big government power. They see the Confederate flag as a symbol of local control and people power as opposed to big government. That is a timely issue that is still relevant.

this interviewer did an excellent job and allowed Tom to talk freely without judgment from her. wow. a real interviewer/journalist. Tom's integrity, composure and straight forward speaking is his strength.
