We are some steps ahead of you when it comes to technology :) 7-8 years ago I also drove a "new" manuel truck, that had no radar and stuff like that. But now a heavy truck must have "radar-brakes", by law. And I dont think you can buy that new Volvo I drive without an aut. gearbox.

Cars can go 120km/h here...but trucks only 90km/h...and with trailer 80km/h. On the other and our trucks are allowed to carry a lot more weight.

Why do you have a blow-and-go? Here people have them if they have had a drunk driving conviction yet need their car to get to work. I've not seen them in semis before. Is that just a precaution in Sweden so no one can drive a huge truck drunk?

There are no rules about it in Sweden...but a company policy to have them in all trucks. Actually pretty common in heavy stuff like trucks, buses and stuff like that.

It's a precaution some companies use simply to make sure their drivers aren't driving under the influence. The Swedish postal services (Postnord) also has this, even for driving the smallest golf cart sized vehicles with a 45 km/h top speed, not just the larger trucks.
