Otroligt hur ett sådant stort fordon kan vara så osynligt för vissa. Jag har själv stor respekt för lastbilar och tyngre fordon i allmänhet.

You are definitely suited for the job of a semi driver. You don't appear to be the type who gets upset quickly and you are extremely aware of your surroundings. You are one of the rare breed of driver's who drive in the safest way possible. Dam do I miss driving, but sitting next to you watching things go by helps me settle down. Thank you for sharing your story in video.

As a car driver I find videos like this really insightful to see the effect bad our bad driving can have on you as a truck driver - I think all car drivers should have to watch things like this as part of a driving course. Lovely editing and you're such a patient driver!

Isnt it part of the license test? I dont know where youre from, but in the U.S. they teach us about the blind spots that truck drivers have and how to keep your distance. They cant see at all on one of the sides depending on which country your from and your supposed to keep at least half a truck length including the trailer length before you turn into the lane in front of them.
@roysloco
@roysloco 3 жыл бұрын
Been a long time since I started driving, but I do remember getting instruction on blind spots etc... 'generally' (if you can't see their mirrors they can't see you, for example), but not on side-blind spots under the eye level of the driver as you pass them, the huge breking distance a truck needs etc... I did learn to flash my lights when the rear of a passing truck is safely by me to let them know they're clear if they want to pull in, but I don't think that was from an instructor (think it was actually a bus driver friend years ago). I used to drive a large minvan and remember how much I needed good speed / momentum to get up long hills on motorways. If someone cut me off or pulled in front doing just a few mph less than I needed for the hill, I had to drop a gear and mess around for about 5 minutes to get back to cruising speed again. I'd imagine trucks have a similar issue.

I had some Major issues with my video editing program this time. It kept on crashing over and over, so this is the result after two sleepless nights. Hope the outcome looks good anyway. If you like the video and want to se more in the future, then you are welcome to subscribe :) Or look at some of the other videos I have here. Do you want a fun fact? Several of my Swedish viewers claim that the Volvo at 6:55 is a undercover (unmarked) cop! XD How about that... If I ever get into politics, I know what my motto will be. "Must Pass Truck!!" It seems important to...well, almost all :)

A seasoned truck driver has natural intuition and learns how to anticipate the stupidity of others. Driving a big rig requires far more skill (and patience) than most will ever realize. Driving is a job that many people have, but far too many of them depend on luck to keep everybody on the road safe. I always gave stupid people plenty of room to be stupid. They never failed to entertain me. I also never lost a minute sitting on the side of the road filling out easily avoidable paperwork. A good truck driver will plan ahead and never make the mistake of being in a hurry. The cargo is just random stuff.. certainly nothing worth endangering lives over. Great dashcam scenery though. Such an amazing view from inside that bubble. Every day is a new adventure!

Is it really that hard to curse to yourself and then simply move on with traffic? Why do so many people feel the need that they need to SHOW their anger through road rage and potentially cause an accident? This driver shows what I want, he simply comments on the idiotic behaviours. He does not start swerving or honks like a madman, he just continues on with life.

17:00 - similar to an incident I had several years ago. I was delivering to a mall and to get out I was coming from the right across the top of a "T" intersection where I had to turn left to get back to the main road. From where I turned left there was about 100 metres to the main road and I let all the cars go that were to my left because my trailer would have run over at least 3 of them making the turn. Just as I committed to the turn someone turned off the road and if he stopped all would have been good, but he kept advancing even after I stopped entirely blocking his path. His solution wasn't to back up but to drive up on the sidewalk and drive between me and a post. Only problem was the gap he chose was just a little bit smaller than his car so he scraped his car from front to back on the post. The high school kids who were walking to the mall got an even bigger laugh out of it than I did.

Just an idea: 1) All licence plates (car owners) must submit a valid e-mail address. In my country (The Netherlands) this is already partially in place, because they know the owner of a car and if you want to use any online service of the government they need your e-mail address. 2) We give all trucks a licence plate recognition camera and an HD camera. 3) The driver has a special button on the steering wheel that they can press if a car does crazy stuff like this. 4) send an e-mail to the owner of the car containing 2 video clips. The first is what they did (like 10 sec before and after button press) the second is a random clip of a truck crushing a car by running into it. 5) Every day 5-10 random clips of that day are shown on the evening news on every channel.

The way I handle slow pokes who insist on driving/crawling in the passing lane, is I wait until I can pass them on the right, then as soon as I am further ahead of them, I cut in front of them and take my foot off the gas (but don't break because I don't want them to see my brake lights) and the car slows down on its own since I am no longer giving it any gas. EVENTUALLY the moron gets in the slower lane to the right to get around me. THEN I put the pedal to the metal and zoom along at the pace the passing lane was designed for. ;-)

16:10 is one of the worst kind of drivers out there. An amoeba has better intelligence than those drivers. I see them everyday on my daily commute. Over speeding insanely all the way, then as soon as they pass you, they drop their speed to less of that you are driving. I really would like to know why. Every freaking car has cruise control these day, it is not the 1970s, even the cheap shit cars like Dacia has it. So what is the excuse of not using the feature? Honestly, some people should not be allowed to breed.

Andreas, you are a super-skilled and AMAZING driver, an excellent and talented vlogger, and a handsome, kind man. The music is terrific, your commentary is a chuckle and it never fails to boggle my mind how you avoid accidents with those maniac drivers. Sincerely, your friend Bob in Indiana, US.

The guy that got stuck in the ditch seemed pretty good natured about it, so at least that’s good. We all have those dumb moments!

Nice to know that drivers of a certain make of German car are the same across Europe - Wuckin' Fankers !! How you manage to not just 'slip' off the brake and bunt those cars into next week shows the patience of a saint....

its amazing that more people arent killed in our traffic, this is just a fraction of all the "incidents" our truckers are doinga great job of not making people kill themselves

i seriously don't know how you stay calm. I'd be abusing everyone. In saying that most of the times you speak in the vids i have no idea what you're saying. So maybe you are. Just an idea, maybe you should put in subtitles for us that don't speak your language lol

I only drive a small truck but i face this kinda shit on a daily basis to, dont know why people are so eager to pass or do anything to be infront of you. When i started driving a truck like 10years ago or so i got pissed ALL the time. But sadly you get use to it. Nothing surprises you anymore. Now all i do is just sigh at it. No need for me to get worked up and angry so it makes my day miserable. Not worth it.

I’m a trucker in Texas, U.S., and I can tell you that I’m verbally abusive as hell towards folks. I’ve had folks follow me to a diesel stop and I had to explain to him that pulling in front of 80K pounds (sometimes more) (roughly 25,000 kilograms) is suicidal from my point of view.

Love your video's & the music is so calming, it is better than the predictable stuff we normally hear. You are one cool dude. I also like your composure during those 'hairy' moments when other drivers seem to think that they OWN the road & them only. As a retired UK trucker I can sympathise with your encounters on & off the road. Keep up the good work.
