I was told never to lay a fridge on its side or back, always keep them upright. Apparently, it's hard on the compressor. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. But just what I've always been told. I moved furniture for 5 years, and we were always told to never lay fridges or freezers and / or LED TVs on their backs or sides.

You are right! Always transport a refrigerator or freezer in the upright position otherwise the springs (made for noise and vibration reduction) holding the compressor tend to break or stretch. The compressor always needs to be in the upright position to prevent this problem.

As long as you let them sit without plugging them in for a while after plugging them upright its okay

There is oil in the refrigerant itself so when it's tipped over for extended periods it drips and moves into areas it doesn't need to be, clogs up expansion valves and such. As long as you sit it upright for a few hours or a day before plugging in it should be fine.

Yeah I was hoping they told you that Josh. At least 24 hrs before you should plug it in if transported on its side. 👌🏼

I've heard that many times and I damaged a flat screen TV back in 2015 laying it flat. I would think the fridge will be fine or the store manager would have said something.

Man Theo is getting big he was a big help on moving the fridge. I had to get a new coffee maker last night mine just wasn't warming like it should've been which I had it for years. I Just got a basic one from Walmart. Glad you got ole blue fixed and ready to go.

Seeing you drive down Dougald Rd brought back a ton of childhood memories. I grew uo one block over from Dougald road at the highway 12 junktion in Anola. Have not traveled that road in 13 years and only visited home maybe once a year since 98. One day soon I will make a trip for a visit that way just to see whats changed.

I'm sure you know but if you hauled that frig on it's side, you need to wait 24 hours before you plug it in due to the refrigerant.

Appliances sure don't last like they use too. My house had the same fridge from the time I was born until I decided it was finally time for an upgrade 38ish years and it is still working in my garage, It's replacement lasted 4 years and was dead.

If you have to haul a fridge laying down. Make sure the compressor side is lowest to the ground. Then set up straight and let it sit for an hour or so. Good to go.

Hi Josh, in a vlog some years back you said that you liked people from the south. Why not move to the south and drive mainly in the US. You would not have to deal with crossing the border and get rid of the extra food left over. Not to mention the less chance of snow and extreme cold temperatures. Didn't you have an emergency airbag replacement not too long ago? I too am very particular about who I trust working on any of my vehicles. As this is always the case... something that went bad, magically fixes itself or maybe it just needed a total dethaw. A shop fridge is always a good idea. Ours did that we had a friend that has his own business come check it out.First thing he did was cleaned the coils under it and that was all he needed to do started working fine didnt have any other problems. Im not saying that was your problem but ours did same thing as yours .

It could be an issue with the self-defroster or the fan. There are appliance repair people. Why not get them to look at the fridge rather than a costly expenditure like a fridge? You must have bought all this stuff at The Brick.

I watched an older video (2988 maybe?), where you talked about the Perimeter Highway. I believe you said you thought it was built to keep Winnipegers from leaving the city, in the event there was a leak of a pathogen from the National Microbiology Lab. That is complete poppycock; just a wacky conspiracy theory. The Perimeter was built in the mid-50s and the NML was built in the mid-80s. The Perimeter was built to bypass traffic, plain and simple.

this has nothing to do with the video, but i’ve been seeing comments about this book for weeks, and i couldn’t ignore it anymore. Vibrations of Manifestation by alex lane was hard to track down, but it’s honestly the best decision i’ve made. it’s crazy how fast things changed for me-two weeks after reading it, i landed the opportunity i’d been waiting for and started feeling more in control of my life. i just had to tell someone about it
