Truckers who remained in Ottawa on Monday evening were largely undeterred by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's use of the Emergencies Act, felt it was another "power grab" and said they would continue their protest. #FoxNews

That coward couldn’t have chosen a worse group of protesters to “crush”. Truck drivers, especially owner/op are the most resilient, hardworking, patience tested daily, rarely appreciated, and every single person you see in a truck has had more than their share of hardships in this business. I came into trucking thinking it wouldn’t be too hard to “just drive” as a job but had a major reality check. Dealing with the constant bs we get on the road throughout the day, usually for nothing more than we didn’t move over fast enough, or didn’t get 80k pounds up to speed fast enough. Work 70+ hours a week, every week, plus the hours we can pass off as Sleeper Berth when we should be On Duty time but need to save the time for driving. An accident cause cost you the rest of your life in prison because a group of people who’ve never driven a truck believe you made a bad decision, even if you were not properly trained. Every single load we haul was do not get paid for the first 2 hours of loading and unloading (4 hours total) and quite often get shafted out of detention one way or another for the hours we are held up beyond that. Constantly dealing with DOT and face fines for things that sometimes were out of our control and we don’t get paid for sitting 1-2 hours for an inspection. That’s far from a complete list but an idea of what a regular day is for us and this cowards thinks he can wear truckers down!?! In the end, even if for some reason the front line is left, that won’t be the end of it. This has been shocking and eye opening to say the least and I believe the next step should be for us to let our trucks sit at home, a place we usually only see a few days a month, and let all freight stop moving. A matter of days and they’d have no choice to but sit down with us. I’m in the US and I know our time to stand up has come, is long overdue, and watching what our Canadian brother’s and sisters have went through has given me inspiration as well as further opened my eyes to the need. I truly believe a near date should be chosen for American and Canadian trucks to stop moving all loads, including company drivers. Remember, if you feel unwell they cannot push you to drive and with driver turnover rates even mega carriers can afford to lose even a decent employee. For the sake of our rights, freedoms, and that of everyone else now and after us makes this our duty. So many men and women have have their lives and many lives forever changed serving our country, this is the least we can do.

These truckers are mostly solo and it's near impossible for you to get covid from a package or from food. The influenza vaccine isn't being forced on anyone outside the medical field and we lose many thousands every year to it.
