Truckin Life, How to install Chicken lights part 1!!!

Showing u how I install chicken(button) lights on my dry van trailer but will do same concept on anything u can put hole and lights. I started by putting a piece of tape in the general area I wanted to put the lights. Step back look at spacing and make sure it’s good. Then I measure center of the space when light was going and measured up 2.5” from bottom of trailer. Put a dot on the 2 lines and drilled a 3/4 hole to fit the rubber grommet and light inside.

Hey man, how do you connect the chicken lights for power. In can’t find a video no where

For me it was the green wire coming out from the side markers. As the power wire u hook that to the black wire on the chicken light. Then the white wire u ground to the trailer. U need a roll of wire called continuous power or just go buy a roll that has 2 wires in it. Suggestion ( I would skin back 2 pieces of scrap wire. Then unplug the side marker turn light from the center of the trailer. Take one wire u skinned and stick inside the side marker plug hole where the green color wire is, and then the other skinned wire hook to the the white wire from chicken light. Touch the white wire to the trailer from the chicken light for ground if lights up that’s ur power wire. If not take out the wire from the plug of side marker and try other wire. There is only 3 wire from side marker and white will not be power so u just have to see which out of the 2 left is power. And ground the white wire should work.

@zaidchalabi something like this just make sure u stop at the 3/4 mark.
