Try using your down hill assist . To use it just put the jake break at 1 and press the cruise control -button and the truck will hold which ever speed you want going down hill. If you’re really heavy suggest to put jake break at 2 to hold speed better.

yeah both of them were very helpful. they could've just stayed in their truck and enjoyed their time off from probably working a 10-12hr shift (as a lot of truckers do) but instead they decided to help their fellow trucker. nice guys. I remember when I was a brand new trucker I had my headlight go out and had no idea how to change it. I went into the repair shop to ask them to change it for me and an old time trucker sitting in the waiting room came out, helped me buy the correct bulb and helped me install it. there's still a lot of good truckers out here

Actually not really, using your brake like that on a hill gonna cause to heat them up and then you won’t have breaks and gonna crash, the more better way is putting it into manual mode ( if it’s an automatic transmission) go to a low gear like 10-11 and use the jake break, that way you’re not using your breaks like this guy!

I appreciate your conscientious driving and I actually got mad at your friend a few videos back when he yelled at you for using your turn signal in a truck parking lot! I used to have my grandkids laugh at me for the same thing and I would tell them my job was to let everyone know what my vehicle was going to do. I yell at drivers myself who get in to the turn lane on an interstate and a few feet from the actual exit flip on their turn signal for a couple of blips before they actually turn! Love your videos, your meals, your life goals and I’m envious of your youth because I want to be like you! Praying for your safety with every mile you travel

Great video, I have taken an interest in trucking, and I have decided to pursue it. Your videos give me insight as to what life on the road looks like. I have a question though, why don't truck and trailers have tech like reverse cameras and parking sensors considering the fact that these vehicles are large and difficult to maneuver especially with a trailer attached? one would think tech like these would be more beneficial to trucks than cars.
