I sorry that You are having this problem, it is horrible when a shop won't stand behind their work and since they won't I too was thinking take your tractor to Haggai. As axis said they have done a lot of work for Justin ( including letting him do some work himself) and they do stand behind their work. You might have to cut your loses drive it for awhile and then decide if You want to keep it. Either way Your tractor is good and your headache is gone. Good Luck, good seeing another one of your videos.

Hey man I own two of these I know exactly how you feel and I can help you out. If your boost ever goes over 35lbs it’ll immediately cut you back and throw a check engine light it’s just the way Cummins is programmed but with me running a tune I found a way around it. The ruff idle you are talking about is absolutely normal I have one that will bark loud as hell for about 3 to 5 minutes and then it’ll even out especially when it’s cold !! Now my other signature barks every blue moon but not all the time other than that these damn motors run great !!

It is possible during installation and adjustment of the gear backlash, both gears for valve and injector cams have to be glued with loctite 609 retaining compound. Both surfaces has to be cleaned from oil residue.if procedure not followed, it can lead of gear slippage on the cam which is throw out timing. It can be checked by pin the crank, take valve cover of and insert correct timing wedges on both valve and injector cams to verify proper timing. you can find correct timing wedges for your engine on the valve cover sticker,it will say timing and two numbers after that, that's your wedges for your engine. Good luck.

It's probably the turbo overspeed sensor in the ECM...it it reads too much boost, it'll derate itself. I had that issue on my Freightliner Classic after it was tuned.

3 months ago I had my engine rebuilt. After less then 10,000 miles a rod broke loose and popped a hole on both sides of the block. Complete loss. I just spent almost $50k on a new detroit 14ltr from detroit. The shop that did the rebuild blames the PAI kit. The parts place I bought the kit from blames the installation. Total loss for me! I feel your pain and now I won't be going to small shops again.

Signature 600? Sounds like the cold start lope, if it goes away after a few mins of run time at cold start. Was programmed into the ECM (CM570) from the factory. As far as the skip under FULL throttle, make sure there is no air getting into the fuel system. Also could be the old/faulty fuel or timing actuators. Look up the videos by Daniel Babbitt, "Cummins ISX CM570 Fuel".
@butch3792 жыл бұрын
Sounds like how mine did fuel pump not timed with motor. You have to pin the motor to make sure fuel pump is set correctly if it's not a new fuel pump might want to put a new one in. My guess is they didn't time the pump with the motor once they were done with overhaul

Check the whole boosted side, that puff that comes when you go wide open sounds like your waste gate opens up too quickly (too small of a spring in it) or something, a gasket, opens up when the boost comes up too quick. by the sound of it when you were going down hill and reving higher it didn't sound like it "popped" indicating that as long as the there is not a buildup of pressure all is fine and you can rev to redline.

Sounds like not enough dome pressure to hold waste gate closed to make boost you needing not much on boost with trucks but in drag racing dome pressure on waste gate used to control boost during run

My guess is check the whole engine harness, probably broke a wire, or wired it wrong, pedal sensor change it, or a broken wire or pin in the ecm, those things brake if you not careful, they removed the whole engine I’m sure it has something to do with wiring

I never drove long distance. My experience with trucking was transporting my crane here and there. But never more than 100 miles one way. My problem with trucking was patience. I just don't have it with the damn idiots on the road challenging your heavy load with their cars. After taking insulin for diabetes, I had to stop driving. Would not pass physical. Also lost my crane operators license due to insulin. Retired now.

if you are going to work with cummins directly that is your best bet . I recall you said they couldnt find a serial number for the engine when you took it in. something is not synced up between fuel and air or injection timing. mechanically you are most likely fine. needs a guru to put in on a computer and figure out whats amiss. at some point if you keep working at it your luck will change. Hang in there. I absolutely cannot stand it when my machinery doesnt work properly.
