That Kwik Trip in Kenosha has 4 wheelers park there to hold the spots while the truck is away. Also at night you will see vagrants in the 4 wheeler lot. Especially now there kicking them out of the Park N Rides around Milwaukee.

I usually try to average 5.5 - 6.2 mpg in ole Whiskey River, which isn’t too hard to do running the bottom half and peddle the hills. I’m glad that sweet trailer is earning its keep.

Hey Martin, good day to you, I just ran the interstate 80 route you did in my motorhome and at 60 mph, average gas burn was 10 miles a gal. Every truck out there passed me and I don't care as I am retired. And at the end of the day all the nuts and bolts need to be checked as the house will fall apart if neglected for very long, and that can get expensive almost as fast as those trucks are going !!!!!!

A lot of guys seem to forget that the mega carriers ditched the non aero trucks for aero trucks to increase profit margins. I would love to have a Freightliner Classic but it made more sense money wise to run my T680 and get better fuel milage

Lol, If Think About What U Said Bout Slowing Down from 80-90 Mph to Gain More Fuel Mileage in a Hooded Truck that Can Work for Anything From a Sport Bike to a Hybrid Vehicle!! If Get 40 Mpg running 70, Can Get More by Doing 60! Most Persons just Drive and Fill Up but then Wonder Where There MONEY Goes!! I Think Kurt Said in a Video, His W900 hardly ever goes over 65 Mph! He usually does 62-63 in Most Areas! He Did get Up to 70 mph Few times but think just get away from Traffic and Do His Own Thing! Kurt Doesn't Pull Many Steep Grades Just Running Mostly Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Few other States and think He Said Averages bout 6-6.5 Mpg with 43K lbs in Trailer! He's Like U Martin, He Likes Save Some Money on Fuel for Net Profit!! Most Persons are that Way but then U Have Some Don't Give a Junk and Don't See Much Net Profit!! Oo Well! nope when they come back then they leave their cars in those spots...120 parking spots that Kwik Trip has and mostly local using it... when they can rent spots just north and south of that truck stop.... I said something awhile ago to the manager about that and I see nothing has changed...a lot of box truck that haul Amazon

Yes in 08 this samething happened and fuel was over $4 a gal but todays difference is everything sky rocketed in price not just fuel. When i was running in 08 i survived no problem bc i wasnt paying $20 for a cheeseburger or $ for a snickers. (These are examples). Love the vids. Been a sub for a while. Be safe out there. The green spaces are actually iowa rest area's version of reserved spots I've read somewhere that iowa is putting in reserved parking spots at rest area's I don't know how you'd pay for one of those spots but I'll never pay for a rest area spot

Martin so nice to hear how well you did this week. Most people don’t realize how small of a cab the 900 is. Ya the bunk is 86 inches but that don’t do you any good in the drivers seat where you spend most of your time. The 900 has lots of old technology and Tiny is more up to date technology. Comfort is what’s so important, space, room to stretch your legs. Just getting out of the seat in a 900 to go into the sleeper at times is a pain in the butski because there is no room. So your figures show you saved 800 this week, times it x 4 = &3200.00 a month x that by 12 = $38,400.00 savings in a year. That truck is going to make you money. So for the people who say you should run Fancy over Tiny not sure what there smoking. Running a hooded truck or $38,400.00 in my pocket, guess what I chose. Glad you told us the actual true difference between a hood and an aero. Martin for President and Alice is the first trucker lady, what a pair, oops, I mean Alice and Martin, grins sheepishly. You know I mean nothing by that, you guys have my total respect. Thanks for posting, have a great and a safe day. Happy trails to you fuel squeezing people..
