DISCUSSION
The PDN Training Tour Truck has received a major upgrade for 2017: The TruckVault storage system, which is the most high-end secure vehicle storage. It is incredibly well made, easy to install, and can be ordered to fit the dimensions of your vehicle and your specific needs.
OPTIONS
Select one drawer, two drawers, or two drawers offset for your TruckVault. Vertical and horizontal dividers let you set up each drawer as you prefer. Four LED lighting units can be placed in various locations in the drawers. Choose standard height drawer(s) or magnum height, which holds scoped rifles and other tall items. Several lock options are available depending on the level of security you require. The TruckVault in the PDN Training Tour Truck has a pushbutton combination lock with key override. This unit also contains a sturdy accessory table under the drawers. View other options at truckvault.com.

INSTALLATION
The four-step installation process is surprisingly easy and secures the TruckVault unit to the vehicle, so it’s not possible to pick up the unit and remove it. The units weigh from about 160 to 300 pounds.
With solid steel construction, this is secure storage. For storing firearms in a vehicle, TruckVault is the solution and can be considered one of your self-defense accessories.
WORK STATION
TruckVault does this right: the work table is underneath the drawers, is pulled out to use, and locks in the open position. It is always clear and ready to work on, unlike work surfaces on top of the drawers, which easily become cluttered. It holds a lot of weight and is stable and sturdy.
SETTING UP THE DRAWERS
The Tour Truck has one drawer setup for quick response, with rifle, handgun, body armor, spare magazines, med kit, and more. The other drawer has range gear, including gun-cleaning kits, ear pro, tools, and spare parts.

#1 way to keep your things safe is to not have a wrap on your 4Runner with tactical equipment in it.

"With solid steel construction, this is secure storage." I just received mine, there is nothing solid steel on the Truck Vault I received. Though it fit perfectly in the back of my Hummer H2, the single elongated slot which was supposed to connect a single "J" Bolt to the center Third-Row Seat bolts, the elongated hole was nowhere near where it would have to be to bolt the Truck Vault to the mounting bolts. But back to the steel? I paid $1,900 for what was supposed to be the weatherproof fire-proof Truck Vault... It's basically plywood.

@@PersonalDefenseNet I made a video of my FIX... I am going to send it to Rochelle at Truck Vault, she handled my purchase. I'm not looking for anything from them, just feel they should be aware of the issue. I fixed the problem, myself and am satisfied with the end result. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l53XlmmbnLN_f68

It’s basically a wooden drawer w/ a lock?

@@leetgif 2 locks. But YES! The other problem I have with mine is that... it does not have slide-out tracks, it just has wheels on the bottom of the drawer to roll out, but because of the wheels and no slide out tracks, I can only open my drawer roughly 10 inches because there are rubber stops that prevent me from pulling it out farther and in my case when I put a cross divider left to right, I can't get the drawer open far enough to get another camera in the drawer or get other things out without taking out the divider so I can get my arm in there. It really should have had slide out. I may do another video to show what I mean. OTHER vaulted drawers on the market have slide out tracks so you can pull the draw virtually all the way out and it is supported by the track when you do. When opened all the way, it is difficult to get to items placed in the back, since the drawer does not come out the entire distance. dizeman.com/kong/IMG_5799.JPG There are 2 backpacks behind the pistol case which I cannot get to without unloading the entire vault. dizeman.com/kong/IMG_5809.JPG

I've had this Hummer H2 for 14 years. I will very likely never sell it, because it was a gift from my wife of 50 years. Mine is insured quite heavily, though I would not be happy, I would not lose any money. The cameras I keep in the Truck Vault are insured for full replacement value which is roughly 38,000. I don't want them stolen either, but I would not cry over the cameras. She was an exec with the second largest natural gas supplier west of the Mississippi and used to fly/travel a lot. (Now retired!) One Sunday she asked, "What would it cost me for a really good FOOT MASSAGE? My response was, "A Hummer!" She was flying out Monday morning to Tucson four four days, so I gave her a really good foot massage. We have a professional massage table and lots of tools. Monday morning on the way to McCarran Airport she said, "If you're not doing anything today, why don't you go over to Desert BMW and buy that black Hummer H2 you were looking at?" I dropped her off at the airport, went home and went to sleep.. it was 6 a.m. She called at 8 a.m. and asked if I was going to over to Desert BMW and i told her, "I thought you were kidding!" She said, "No! Go over and buy it, just make sure it is what you want... I don't want to hear any bitching later." I drove over to Desert BMW, there were half a dozen SHARKS waiting for me on the sales line, so I went to McDonalds for breakfast instead. Wife called, "Well?" I said, "It's $56,900" (This was 2009.) She said, "Go over and when you are ready to deal, give me a call." i went over, the salesman... VLAD literally from Transylvania complete with the Drakul accent, but a super nice guy took me for a test ride. I hit the gas just as I hit a V-Gutter in the road and tossed him up in the air. I told him, "This sucker Rocks!" Went back to the sales office and he told me $56,900, so I called my wife to let her know. She said, "Put me on speakerphone." She told the salesman to get the Sales Manager on the phone. He called the VP of Desert BMW and she said, "We won't even discuss the price, $56k is fine, but only if you pay for the State Sales Tax of $4,694.25 and the Registration/License Plates costing $209.00". The VP of BMW said, "We used to do that, but we stopped doing that about five years ago." Wife said, "Okay, you have to understand this is a WHIM, we don't NEED this truck... Jon? So, where are you going for lunch? (Dismissing and ending the conversation with the VP.)" After a minute of us ignoring him and just talking among ourselves about lunch, he said, "Okay, you take the truck for $56,900 and I will pay the tax and tags." Wife said, "Wrap it up! Put a Bow on it!" Then thanked me for the GREAT FOOT MASSAGE. (Absolute truth, which is why the Hummer is SENTIMENTAL to me and I will likely just give it to my son when I die, which at 68 could happen any minute. ) Just a factual story about my TRUCK... THE WHAT AND WHY! I know posting this will cause someone to spit and spew, I've been on the NET sine 1988, it's the BEST BET IN VEGAS! dizeman.com/kong/kong.jandk.capehatteras.jpg

These boxes are junk. We had numerous locks to fail. We couldn’t get one of the locks to open. I used a hammer and screwdriver to open it. It took less than 30 seconds to defeat the lock.

Can you still access the spare tire?
@washingtonwebfoot9908
@washingtonwebfoot9908 5 жыл бұрын
There are a couple of different ways. Usually there is a removable cap or caps in the top of the vault and bottom of the drawer for the spare access rod to go through. They also have a gas spring assist lift system.
@PersonalDefenseNet

Yes, the spare tire can be accessed. Truck Vault makes a lift system designed so that the spare can still be accessed. More information can be found here: truckvault.com/products/suv-base-line/lift-system

Why do so many of these “patriots” buy Toyotas? Even funnier when they put those American flag decals on the side of that Japanese truck/SUV. Buy American.
@IamBlackMagic03
@IamBlackMagic03 2 жыл бұрын
Well you do know toyota uses more American/Canadian parts than any of the American companies right? They also build all their truck/suv line in America by Americans while paying them a great wage. So that money stays here. Dodge/Ford build half their trucks in Mexico while using a lower percentage of American/Canadian parts. So take what you will from that. Also toyota seems to not have the issues that tend to plague American trucks (transmissions, engines) from time to time.

@@IamBlackMagic03 Nice word said - you must be bored. It’s all about profits, you buffoon. How much of Toyota’s profits go back into the American economy, compared to the Japanese economy?
