The sad thing is, Trudeau makes grand promises of aid, but very little of the aid promised is actually being delivered or it comes so slowly and with so many strings attached that it can hardly be considered as worthwhile. At 63 I'm on a unpaid medical leave for over a year now suffering from Guillain-Barre syndrome, a rare disorder in which your body's immune system attacks your nerves. I have good days and really bad days too. Never took any CERB and worked everyday during the pandemic. Although I WANT TO work I can't do fine motor skills with my hands, which has been difficult as I was a graphic designer working in the sign industry. Speech is difficult at times too. Fought my way walking and have good motor reflex in my legs and lower body, no real strength issues, just tire so damn fast. I don't want pity, just some help working through the quagmire of getting financial assistance. Still I have to wait 120 days before this government will even look at long term disability, because seriously, who'd hire a 63 year old graphic designer/ production worker who can no longer perform the duties of a graphic designer/ production worker? ... where is the help!?! Thanks to MP Brock's office at least someone is looking out for this Canadian. Never,Never, Never Give up!

You're lucky the Canadian government broke this agreement and instead of putting Canadians in the trenches to fight ruskies, is sending a little bit of chump change and Ukraine is accepting of that solution. Third, practically very other Canadian in the West/Central Canada has Ukrainian relatives (grand-grandparents etc) who settled and helped build Canadian farms and towns in placed even Germans refused to settle. So even if your grandma wasn't a Ukie, defending Ukraine is literally like defending our common Canadian ancestors.

So we haven't payed our fair share to NATO, who we are already in an agreement with for OUR national security but Canada turns around and not only funds but creates a military security agreement with Ukraine? How is that even possible? How is the PM able to make so many large unilateral decisions? Canada has never felt more unsafe then it does now.

I think the government should not be funding Ukraine. Those people who like to fund wars can create a fund and let people donate if so choose. The gov keeps saying that Canadians want to fund the war, but I never met a Canadian who wants his tax dollars to go to Ukraine or any other undemocratic nation when Canada economy is tanking, and Liberals spending is maxed out already, we fund $3B to Ukraine?
