I have a feeling you might be right. Government used to be about public service. Sadly, once the money started flowing in, special interest groups have determined who leads and who gets a bigger slice of the pie. Globally, it's time we make changes to the way we elect our leaders and the qualities we want them to have.

I agree with you on the stimulus cheques. No, I did not receive a cheque, I worked through it (health care worker). I did just receive my gst rebate and I feel these same people should return those too. Don't accept the cheque and then complain. I just hope PP does not get in.

I am sad for him he is kind and did a lot for us but he was not strong and was not good at speaking. I do not think the big smear campaign helped him even though it was lies. He just did not have the strength to fight against the crooked right. I pray the Liberals get a strong charismatic Leader for the country. We do not want Poilievre, he is worse than Trump. Trudeau has done a good job of being a prime minister..he negotiated the NAFTA agreement, covid..we had the least deaths in the developed world, reconciliation with the indigenous people, supported the Ukrainians, concluded trade agreements with developing countries, created social assistance programs to tackle inflation….he has been in power for 9 years…i am very grateful that he was our leader during a very difficult period ….he made the right decision for the party and for Canada…he made is a good and righteous man!
