I don't think that you can really compare the two to be honest. Yes, the storylines are more or less the same but they are just so different. I LOVE BOTH Twilight and True Blood in different ways.

@Bananabear20 this panel was two years ago, not three. so they had known each other for a good year and a bit. i can't imagine their relationship at the present moment being that much different to what it was like back then. deborah is clearly, or was, interested in alex but not the other way round. the only time i've ever seen alex completely comfortable/flirting away was with kristin...which is adorable.

@NausAllien actually i don't think alex is all that comfortable with deborah...but she's clearly interested in him. he's not really engaging with her. if you look at the recent video someone took at the comic con panel (it was just uploaded a couple days ago) the chemistry between kristin and alex is unbelievable. if kristin wasn't married, i would have thought they were dating. it's adorable! they obviously have a very strong relationship.

@Cla900 Deborah had a bf at the time, the same one she has now. Plus , deb and alex only had one scene together in the first season of true blood, and then this was one the middle of season 2, where they had not seen each other at all, because they didnt have any scenes together. If actors on tb don't have scenes together they don't see each other. Anna Paquin says she only sees her husband at home, now that they dont have scenes together as much.

I'm not that big an Elvis fan (just a bit too young) but I surely do love the Bubba character! Normal, when Elvis was brought to the morge (I need spell check) there remained a tiny spark of life and the attendant was a big fan AND a vampire. Transitions don't always go well and unfortunately this one did not. He's rather dim but very sweet and often very helpful. It doesn't work well for him to be kept in Tennessee because he wants to wander home so he's being hosted in Louisiana now.

@lollopisemis alex is single now (thank god-kate bosworth is nuts) but deborah is still in the relationship. but her boyfriend is well suited for deborah since they both have the same eye condition, Choroideremia. and going by the interviews of them scattered around the internet, they make a very beautiful couple. i would love alex to be with kristin but that definitely ain't happening since she's married lol

I think that Stephanie Meyer read Charlaines book and decided to Mormon-ize the story and make it prudish. Does anyone realize how similar the two are? That's my theory: that Stephanie decdied to write a prude version of The Sookie Stackhouse novels and see which did better. She must have felt real good about herself... Trueblood tops twilight!!!
