Dementia is the most awful affliction imaginable. That poor elderly lady.

yaaaay :D I work with dementia residents. A lot of them get extremely violent because unlike drugs, the disease eats away living brain tissue so they can physically no longer do anything like the way they used to... but that story sounds like she needed medications that she was not getting at all. she was being severely abused by her caregivers and her family.... I feel for that grandmother, not OP :(

Yeah I hate when people say God doesn't exist just because bad things happen. Humans have free will and because of that, things aren't going to be perfect in this life.
