She went to her grave without speaking on the situations so she’s either the wife every criminal wants or she really just followed instructions from her husband and didn’t bother to ask and hear all the lies he had to offer.

She knew she's the wife every monster wants in my opinion due to that and how she didn't say one bad thing about that man when given the chance nor didn't describe the abuse he inflicted on her own damn kids but used battered wife as a defense is why she definitely deserved what she got so in the end the victims and her children got justice cause she was just as guilty as him for letting him abuse her children and didn't bother to say anything so she got what she wanted she was a ride or die for her husband not even her own children. If she was my mother I wouldn't have spoken up for her during the trial I would have no empathy for her and would despise her she never got physically abused by her husband only the nasty attitude is what she experienced she allowed her children to take the brunt of the physical torture.

I feel like Fay had a don’t ask don’t yell relationship. She must have had suspicions about her husbands doings but never confronted him. And I doubt he told her what he was doing since he obviously doesn’t see her as a peer/partner

She knew I don't buy it they were side kicks he knew she was loyal til death and he was so sadistic he had no problem bragging about his disgusting crimes she may even help set the victims up to appear to them as a loving little old grandmother, she knew about her kids being tortured and Ray laughing and bragging about them stepping in cow poo 💩 with no shoes and her son broken wrist plus her son being beaten with a hammer, she just pretended to be blind I think she was slightly sadistic herself to allow that without challenging her husband idc how she was raised I've seen many women like her that have a breaking point and a line their husband's can't cross, so she deserved her punishment then making quilts with the victims clothes plus she could've testified against her husband but she refused saying she had nothing which is bs plus she was never physically abused by him she allowed her children to take the brunt of that so I don't buy she was afraid of him and had the f%# nerve to use battered wife syndrome when it was actually her kids that were tortured if Ray killed her son that was beat with that hammer she still would've stuck by him and kept quiet smh.

Oh my goodness! I grew up in the town where the trial was held and where Faye was at in prison. When we would go road tripping we would say we were going to drive there and see if it was haunted but none of us ever had the guts. Plus pretty sure we would have gotten in trouble for being that far from home. (Rule followers and stuff. Haha!) And We used to tell the story at sleep overs as a ghost story!

Without a doubt I know the wife most likely legitimately didn't have a clue because she was part of a generation having been raised by old fashioned women who truly thought their husband should never be challenged and her opinion didn't matter. Faye definitely wasn’t guilty BEYOND a reasonable doubt. The evidence is too weak and a death penalty should have never been handed down. Luckily her sentence was commuted, but hundreds of others aren’t as lucky. There needs to be a federal and state review process before that sort of penalty is carried out. 😪
