In the second case, it’s hard not to believe a 6 year old because they haven’t learned to lie. I do think there was enough evidence to convict her, otherwise she would’ve walked free.

My dad was in the the same boat as you, but instead, when he grew up, he worked hard and learned from them not to touch drugs and he always enforced us to stay away from drugs.
