I felt bad for the poor mom who had 40 babies hanging off of her little crustacean body. She looked so exhausted 😴. When she put them down to recover, I felt her relief. Glad we don’t have 40 babies at a time! I can’t imagine having to take care of 40 two year olds.

I found these guys in Alameda, CA while looking for bubble snails carrying schistosome parasites (as they do) and spent about an hour just watching them. Monterey Bay Aquarium usually has a display of them.

Oh god, I'd love it if you ever did an episode on Poodle Moths. They are sincerely the strangest and most evocative creatures. They have evocative mannerisms. Seem to display emotions, they have brows ffs. Hold things with their hands. Sit down with their legs hanging, prop their elbows, hands on chin. I kind of really think they're fairies, or definitely one of the more recent additions to the planet because they're not moths lol.
