Thank You for proving my point on my previous comment. Train, train and train some more. Achieve peak physical prowess. Any prior specialty training such as Master Scuba Diver and subgroups certainly helps. Train for what you plan to accomplish in the Navy then expect to fail. They will train you their own way. What you have prior to enlistment is 'knowledge' on a subject - not training. Again...Navy = Superior Athleticism. Keep up the great work my friends.

That’s different. When I was enlisted, all you had to do was finish your A school and pt at least twice a week. PT went 5-6:30am and it was brutal. I still remember my first pt with special forces instructors. Had to double time it all the way across base because our barracks were on the opposite side, and if you did anything but march-as a recruit- you’re phucked. Anyway, I stuck with it. Parts of it were brutal. 4 mile runs with a dip into Lake Michigan, included. Every time it wasn’t frozen. I quit when I saw 2 people drown, basically. They wanted you to drown. I couldn’t do that.

what is life like after training? I've been thinking about enlisting as an eod for about 2 years now and just wanted to know what it's like
@Nomad_TraderX5 жыл бұрын
I was in the class of 96 and I can say that, if you can make it, there is no better life in the Navy. The life after the Navy is not all bad either. The skills you learn as an EOD tech are arguably more marketable in the private sector than those of our brothers in the teams (in case you were also thinking that route...as were 99% of us at one time or another).

@@Nomad_TraderX I leave for basic in 2 weeks for the Navy, I'm enlisted as Aviation Ordinance. Can you tell me how much freestyle swimming there is in this field? I am very confident in my CSS but not freestyle, as my shoulders lack development
