Lefevre was purchased by True outright so this is a company path and decision to provide great product the is Lefevre designed to meet an ongoing and increasing demand.

Handcrafted and factory made are different, irregardless of what the company or the sales reps say... No way you could ever tell me the CCM Lefevre designed retail gear was anything like the Lefevre made ccm gear... this will be no different.

The reason they outsourced isn't to bring more value to customers. It's to bring more profit to share holders. There's more money getting children in Vietnam to make things than expanding operations in a nice place like Canada that has labour laws. And anyone that says they can't make money here is delusional, because they bought the brand. They bought a profitable well known brand. The goal the entire time was to ship it overseas, and still market it like its made in canada and charge made in canada prices. Lol $2000.00 for some slave made pads. Probably costs $35 canadian to make and ship to N.A

I can’t believe people are falling for this. They could have easily found more space to manufacture in Montreal if they wanted to. It’s honestly barely even Lefevre at this point. I know semi-pros who’ve ordered custom from Lefevre directly and they’re certain they’re just getting international stuff. True is so overrated, once the Pros all stop wearing it. The demand will fall.

Lefevre hands don't touch this stuff. It's terrible that their name is attached to it. Although I guess it's part of the deal they signed with True.
@hopecholo74752 жыл бұрын
It’s literally the exact same pad as the ones made in Montreal. Only way for production to catch up with high demand was to go overseas; not sure what else you expected Lefevre / True to do given the circumstances.

@@hopecholo7475 this is bang on ... and the only way to get wait times for those that doe want pro custom made in Canada back into a reasonable time frame was to have stock retail supply handled elsewhere
@milkoil2 жыл бұрын
@@hopecholo7475 expand operations in Montreal. It's really simple. Invest the money in canada. To sell to canadians. If it was profitable enough to buy, scaling up should still be profitable. Shipping jobs overseas isn't the only way to do business, it's how true uses an established brand name to now outsource products made for pennies on the dollar. We're talking corporate gains here now, not some company locally owned. The corporations obligations aren't to canadians, it's to share holders.
