Thank you so much for sharing my story! It was amazing how well you captured my true fear in the moment. I felt like I was right back in my best friend's bedroom with our makeshift board. The knocks you included epitomized how loud and terrifying the knocks on her door were. This story barely scratches the surface of the paranormal activity I have experienced and continue to endure. I do believe this was the key to opening the door to invite it in and listening to your episode captured why... we burned the board. My husband calls me a conduit because it seems no matter where we go if it's haunted, it's gonna come alive and tag along or mess with me. Also, thank you so much for the compliments on my writing. You're my absolute favorite podcast. To have my favorite narrators pick and narrate one of my stories was epic!

Call upon archangel Michael and ask him to break any chains, bonds attachments etc that you have that no longer serve you. You have spiritual sovereignty so until you claim it your going to continue with attachments. Please stand your ground and release it and yourself. ❤ you picked up an attachment. You need to determine what it is and research how to remove it if your attempts to order it fail. You can release them tho.

I played with a board once when I was around 10…I’m 68…. My neighbors had gotten one for Christmas and we were in their kitchen, when the planchette started moving on it’s on, I ran home so fast they didn’t even realize I had gotten up. No thank you, I’m not wanting to open any portal for evil spirits. Never again.

When I was 21 me and my friends played with one. We were at my friends house and he lived out in the country in a old farm house. There were 6 of us there. When it started moving we all thought someone was moving it because it was saying creepy things. I said I’ll close my eyes and ask it a question that no one knows the answer to. I asked what is the nickname my grandpa used to call me? I closed my eyes and it moved and after awhile I heard giggles. I said what did it say? Peckerwood. That was the name. I was shocked. Then my friend who had recently lost her mother asked to talk to her. She said if your here give me a sign. We heard 3 loud bangs on the front door. We went to the door and looked outside. No one was there and it wasn’t windy outside. It was dead calm and even the crickets and frogs had gone silent. We were freaked out and decided to stop playing. I never touched one again and I won’t let my kids bring one in the house.

The irony of giving your child a ouija board for CHRISTmas. Yikes. Good Job running. My older cousins and older sister played with them. And I joined once I know for sure, possibly twice. Scared me terribly. I think it has affected my life in many ways.

It was the only time I’ve seen him but he lets me know he is here. My mama died in 2006, he isn’t here as much since she passed. I live in our family home.

It's really common that friends either drift apart or end up fighting and severing ties after a paranormal experience. I had that happen to me after some terrifying paranormal experiences in France with a friend of mine in 2015. A few months later I realized she had unfriended me on FB for no apparent reason and when I contacted her she told me she had a nightmare that I was evil so she felt compelled to unfriend me. She was acting so weird that I was actually concerned for her. And awhile later, in an FB group her husband lost his marbles and went on the most bizarre rant directed at me, saying vile things to me and threatening my life in a really terrifying way with no provocation. And the dark energy from his threatening rant had such nasty intent that it actually thrust me into severe anaphylactic shock. I severed all ties for good after that. I don't take that kind of darkness 'lightly.'

@@The_ZeroLine Well, that's a lovely assumption, thank you for that. You are a gem. Do you often just insult total strangers on the internet for no fking reason? Pretty pathetic! Where in my comment did you see that I was the evil one in the scenario?? Because I don't do black magic and interact with demons? Yeah, that would be her, I found out later. I guess I was soooooo evil to her that she spent the next several years trying desperately to be friends with me but I didn't want anything to do with her after all the useless drama, paranoid delusions, jealousy, threats and toxicity I had to endure because of her. Not to mention the rather large sum of money she refused to pay back to me after sponging off of me on our trip to France like an entitled leach. And it was pretty funny, after her all-prophetic dream, how she immediately sent me a friend request expecting everything to be back to normal. And because I'm so fking evil I did except her back until the nastiness reached a fever's pitch with the first threat on my life, why? Because I didn't think everyone in Italy deserved to die a horrible death in a volcano eruption because that's where the Vatican is. That's normal!! Yeah, that's me, evil to the core! haha You can't reason with stupidity, clearly. And she never let up trying to win our friendship back until I made it crystal clear I was 100% done with her and that's when her true colours really came out! More threats on my life from her ''dark Jewish magic''so she claimed. But hey, if you think that's me being evil, maybe you two should hang out, from the sounds of it, you guys may get along swimmingly. Are you happy now? You got some attention, how fun is that?

How dumb/ignorant do you have to be to be a proud skeptical apostate. I used a ouija board by myself and was able to get answers to my parents and grandparents past that they had not shared with me. How would I be able to do that without any prior knowledge and how would the answers be so detailed down to exact dates, exact colors, exact brands, exact songs, exact people, etc… Being a skeptic after being a believer just makes anyone look plain retarded. With all due respect maybe being a Jehovah’s Witness just wasn’t the right thing for you, but no longer believing in the supernatural is completely different than not believing in your former religion. Supernatural is not about if you believe or don’t believe, it doesn’t care if you do or don’t believe in order to cease to exist.

Oh, oh, I have an Ouija Board story! When I was a kid my sisters and I decided we would save up for a game. Once we accumulated some funds my mother took us into Colorado Springs to one of those old school department stores to shop. It was downtown in an old brick building with multiple floors. The saleslady took us down to the basement where all the games were kept and asked us what game we wanted. We didn't have a clue so she showed us an Ouiji Board. We had no idea what it was so she told us how to work it. My little sister and I put our hands on it and the damned thing took off!...answering questions, spelling out words, etc. My little sister was so young she could barely read and write and I knew I wasn't pushing it. I started looking for batteries or a mechanism that was making it move. I didn't get that it was supposed to be spirits moving it. This was in the 60s and the whole scene, with the old department store, the basement and the smiling saleslady was like something out of an Alfred Hitchcock film. I don't believe in anything supernatural but I love all of it!...lol UFOs, Bigfoot, spooks! I'm in! Give me one good bump in the night! I think we settled on Twister but I will always remember that Ouija Board flying around like crazy on us. A filmmaker couldn't have crafted a movie scene any better than that.

@@The_ZeroLine Oh you'll never be more skeptical than I am. One thing I've discovered about life is, if it's really cool, its not real. That UFO pic turns out to be bird poop on the window. Those signals from outer space are just coming from a Pulsar or the microwave oven too close to the instruments. Big Foot was a guy in a gilly suit. ....Maybe this was a false memory? But I remember it happening just this way. I've had three or four events in my life that I can't wrap my rationale around...(a couple of ghost stories I actually did figure out...sleep paralysis and a wooden slat under my bed falling out....what a buzzkill) This story though I'm gonna let ride just as it is because that's exactly how I remember it and everyone needs at least one fun story to tell around the campfire.

Paranormal is more real than you could imagine and it does not need for you to believe in it to be real. I hope for your sake you never have a haunting spook that terrorise you so much that all you can think of to do is to cower under the quilt and beg sleep take you all the while deciding that if not you must call your mom to come to extract you from such a terrifying situation! Ooh... I had a Quija board that I threw out in the trash, on trash day. I was never so relieved to get rid of something in my life, and went to work feeling light and carefree. When I got home from work that evening and walked in the house, there that dam board sat on the kitchen counter! Talk about your blood running cold! I have no idea how that happened, but I think I ended up giving it to someone who wanted it just to get it out of my house.

I remember one time after school at a girl scouts meeting one of the girls brought in a ouija board. I didnt want to make God upset with me so i did not join in on their "seance" but when they went into the gym where all the lights were off i went outside and grabbed one of those crusty old crab apples that are all over the ground in the fall and i brought it back inside with me. The sound the apple made when i threw it inside the dark, empty (minus six fifth and sixth-grade girls) was SO loud but what was even louder was the screams that followed after. They all took off running and we got in trouble and one of the moms had to go and get the board out from the gym. I never told them it was just me... throwing a rotten apple 😮

Even as a curious child who was interested in the paranormal enough to check out library books and documentary tapes (research before the internet) I was never interested in Ouija. Had a neighbor friend once who one day randomly pulled it out of his game closet and suggested we try it. I remember telling him, “The best case scenario is that’s fake and pointless… at best.” So we played Crossfire instead.

Hi from Ireland 👋🇮🇪 When I was a teen many, many years ago, a friend brought me to her house. She always said her mother was psychic, I didn't really believe her until a day when she invited me over and told me she has a ouji board in a box under her bed, she would show me when her mother left the house. An hour later her mother left and my friend took out the board.... We didn't even get to open it up before we heard the front door open and my friends mother running up the stairs screaming "get that fcuking ouji board out of this fcuking house!" freaked me out! 😂

Hey guys, great topic!! I highly suggest avoiding that thing after some of my experiences. The freakiest thing that happened...aside from the creepy crap that crossed over..... my friends begged me to buy one and do a session one night being the ultra sensitive/ 'witchiest' one, born on Halloween and always had issues with paranormal stuff happening. So, during the session with my friends, I did the mistake of asking about a friend's brother who had taken his life a few months prior, who was deeply disturbed. Not much happened during the session but in my car, on my way home, late that night, alone, I had a really bad feeling and I looked in my rearview mirror and I saw him sitting in my backseat looking particularly scary. I nearly drove off the road. The next day I decided to throw it out, so I dropped it down the 4 story garbage shoot and went out for dinner. Not a word of a lie, when I got home it was on my kitchen table! True story. I nearly had a heart attack!! The next day my boyfriend took it and I think he threw it off a bridge!!! But we had some creepiness after that in the apartment. That's only the last time I used one!

I can attest to the crazy sound that comes from the board when burned. My friend and I used one as young teens and some very strange things started happening in my room , where we used it, so we took it to church and our youth pastor burned it with us. The crazy, high pitched, almost like whistling or a pig squealing sounds that came from it, along with bright blue and purple flames were absolutely haunting. It was pretty crazy.

I was at a Cargo Largo store and I saw the weirdest ouija board. It looked like it was made out of a the trunk of a tree. The sides had bark on it. It looked handmade and was not in a box or anything. It was just laying on a table with other stuff. It didn’t have a planchette with it or anything else. It looked creepy and like something you’d find at a flea market or something and not a discount store. It looked really out of place. It was my first time there so maybe they sell odd old stuff 🤷🏻‍♀️ everything else looked like overstock or returns or lost cargo. I had a bad experience with one years ago and stayed away from it lol.

Just have to learn how to protect yourselves before using a spirit board, (there are various ways to do it), cleanse the space before and after the session, smudge the board, and approach it seriously. If done correctly it can be extremely enlightening, and like every tool, it's only dangerous if it's misused, (even human hands can be used to save someone or misused to murder someone). Great show as usual guys! I know you've already touched on the fascinating Doppelganger/Mimick phenomenon, but if you've received any more personal accounts on that subject it would be so great to hear more about them! ❤

She even moved all the way across the country, to the same town as me, and after the first month she was here, she picked a fight with me and cut me off, along with my 2 kids. she has 3 kids who have been growing up without knowing any of this side of their family, including their only first cousins on our side. it's such a shame how these entities affect people and we believe they are our own voices whispering in our minds. my sis and i were best friends into our young adult years but her toxic relationship has turned her into a toxic, abusive person. spiritual realm affects us in some ways.

I had received a board in the 90s as a kid on my birthday like alot of my friends because people thought it was just a game & it sat in my closet for years, always gave me a bad feeling I never actually tried to use it, went away to college and on a visit home it mysteriously vanished from my room nobody knows where it went to this day.

Can't listen right now. I need to get ready to go volunteer at a raptor rehab. However, I had a vivid nightmare overnight that my brother was messing with an Ouija Board (something he didn't do in real life) and he looked at me with an insane expression and said "Yeah? Well watch this!" Then a light flashed in my eyes and I woke up. Not sure what that was all about except I had a beer before bed which isn't a good idea for the dream quality.

Consequently there are a couple of books on how to use these "Spirit Boards" safely(?) Every one I've read advises people not to use them at home. Speaking of books, there is a book that might be helpful to John and his Medium friend.. It's called "The Crossing Over Prayer" by Tina Erwin. The cover "art" is horrendously bad but the content might be useful to help his friend move on, if Lanky Hank isn't one of his ancestors or spirit guides.

As someone well versed in this topic, First you have to cast protections. If you dont know what I am talking about you have no business playing with one. Its NOT a game! Second but more importantly its most dangerous for people who have medium abilities and dont know it. they can and do get possessed! 3rd If you dont know how to break the connection and close the door you opened your screwed! and lastly For the love of all things Holy do not attempt to talk to anything evil! Dont ask if the devil is there etc! FFS! I mean how dumb can you be?! If after all that you still try to play with one, Only talk to people you know that have passed and make them answer a question that only they would know! Make sure its them. if its not end the session! These things are literal doorways!

Just so you know the spiritual realm tells you Satan that's a Hebrew word, it means deceiver or accuser. All of these so-called demonic entities in Hebrew are called Satan's. It's not a name. Also in Hebrew, the original language of all scripture, your right-hand represents your work your actions your deeds, and your forehead represents your thoughts.

Lynessa Land either has a photographic memory or she’s trying to sell more books. Per the earlier story, a homemade board made with cardboard sounds even creepier. They should have kept the friendly, helpful Ouija Board. The fact she left it on a cliffhanger makes me think she’s just a good storyteller.

It makes absolutely no matter at all whether you are experienced or not with a Ouija board. It's as dangerous for one person as it is for another. You're not ever speaking to a person. The dead are barred from communicating with the living. It's not your buddy's father. It's a demon. Of course they can answer questions. They spend YOUR ENTIRE LIFE WATCHING AND STUDYING YOU! IT'S NEVER A PERSON'S SPIRIT!

My dumb ass didn't realize I had clicked toward the end of the video and heard all the thank you call outs and thought "man this was a really weird choice to do for an intro haha." Also, I got one of those Hasbro Ouija boards at a yard sale a few years back and mounted it above my bed with the planchette pointed to "yes." The way I see it, if spirits are gonna come for me, the presence of a mass produced game board is not gonna make or break my spooky experience.

Once played with one at age 1 with my 8 year old sister. I asked it "who will I marry?" and it said "blond w big boobs". Then I asked it "how will I die?" and it said "motorcycle wreck". At 18 I married by high school sweet heart that fit that description, then I've been riding motorcycles ever since and have had 2 bad wrecks... but am still riding today. Was not interested in either of the two that the board mentioned prior!

I played with an ouija board once when i was a teen, maybe 14, or 15, but i think my friend was moving the planchette cuz it spelled out something that just sounded completely like gibberish. I can't even remember what we asked or what it spelled out, but it made absolutely zero sense... I really don't know but other than that, nothing happened there.. However, i have had many experiences with the other side, all due to my stepmother practicing dark magic/witchcraft. When i was maybe 13, 14, or 15, i can't really remember, we just moved into a mobile home in Amarillo, Texas about a week or two before my first incident with a ghost/spirit: i remember sitting on my bed all alone in my room, and a transparent blonde boy in a red t-shirt and beige khakis just appeared right beside me, doing the same thing with his feet that i was doing, swishing them back and forth in opposite directions (does that make sense?). I can't remember his eyes... Whether they were blue or empty, i can't remember. But he had a really strange, unnatural smile on his face, which really freaked me out so i covered my ears, closed my eyes and scooted into the furthest corner of my bed for just a second or two, and when i opened them, he was gone. Another time, i saw an incredibly strange, dark, spiked-back hunchback black shadow (try saying that three times fast lol) walking back and forth in my stepmother's and father's bedroom in front of their bathroom that had a light on. Another time, (and this is all in that very same house, mind you) i saw a crying lady with beautiful curly long light brown hair in a beautiful wedding dress, with a veil hanging down her hair but not in front of her face, walk down the hallway to the bathroom and disappear. I heard strange noises all the time, and a mirror fell off my sliding closet door, fell onto the sliding metal and did not break, which was crazy, i remember hearing strange clapping like the sound of a clapper toy at 3 am and could never find the source. I also remember the feeling of something hitting my feet from under my bed over and over again. At another much older home in West Virginia that we lived in when i was 10, 11 and 12, a huge picture fell down that had been up for many many years. I was told that's never happened before. It literally lifted itself up off the nail and fell on top of the dresser knocking all sorts of stuff down, but didn't break or tear. I have even been woken up by my bed shaking rather harshly, and then, after all this, I was told someone had died in that very bed. Why they kept the bed or why she decided to just bother me and no one else, irdk. Probably cuz my stepmother really hated me and wished ill upon me, or it was just my luck i guess, irdk... I have also seen a hat man in a friend's house standing in a corner of their living room. That was when I was in my 20's... But it seems i have finally learned how to protect myself (the Holy Bible, Jesus Christ, and blessing extra virgin olive oil and then placing it all over the house) because i haven't had anything like that happen to me in a long time, almost a decade now since that last incident in the friend's house. This is the first time i ever put any of what happened to me in writing... It's so crazy... Some of it doesn't even feel real now, but i remember it all like it was yesterday... i have told some others, but they didn't believe me... i get it... It's hard to believe, but i was there, that was what i experienced, whether anyone believes me or not...
